Playing MP3's

I was wondering if there was a way to play mp3 recordings on our car cd players? I have burned a view discs from my computer hardrive and I am unable to play them in my Zcar. They are formatted as mp3's. Thanks in advance.

Did you try burning it as an audio cd? I know with that most CD players they can only play audio formatted cd's (like up to 18 tracks) but some of the MP3 cd receivers can play data formatted cds (up to 350+ mp3 files), like my kenwood.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

I play audio-formatted burned CD's on my car CD player all the time, so they should be okay.

well audio tracks are good, but u can only put mostly 20 or few on one cd. But there are 2 options u can do to get mp3's in the car. #1 buy a new cd player that has mp3 compatibility which a lot do now, then u could fill a whole cd with mp3's which is like 150 -200 songs on 1 cd. #2 buy an ipod, with the fm transmitter which broadcasts over an fm channel on the regular radio. The ipod holds either 10, 15, or 20gb of mp3's. Im not sure how good the fm transmitter works. In my car I bought an alpine deck with an aux output on it and ran a rca line from the deck down under the shifter and replaced my coin change thing with an 10gb ipod, Its so much better than lugging my suitcase of cds everywhere

This is exactly how I play mp3's in the car...the FM transmitter isn't perfect, but I've found it to be acceptable for me.

well the ipod is removable if u want a hardrive for the car, look into the Kenwood Keg, which only can be used for kenwood headunits, or the neo car jukebox, im not so sure on the Neo?
But here is my setup, its a bad pic, but at night ill try to get a better one.

That looks good! Hod did you get the metal Z emblem with the strobing light? Also, besides the Kenwood, do you know of any other hard wired Hard drive type thingy?
