That'd be awesome if you had a place available. Yea I'm having a tough time finding something cause I don't really know the area. But part of the excitement I guess lol

Move to Jersey, keep urride. Don't drive like an **** pay attention to the roads as they can Rip ur car to shreds.
Williamsburg is gonna cost some bread lets be realistic, n IMHO that trendy ish aint worth the price. I work for the Port Authority currently sentenced to working in the bus terminal on 42 and 8 th.. Come thru n I'll show u how we do lunch around here!
Good luck broski!

My sister lives in BK and works in Manhattan (23rd street). She lives in Bay Ridge, not too far from the Verrazano bridge. Nice area where she lives, not so noisy and only a 35 commute into Manhattan.
Downtown Manhattan has some quiet, residential areas. Not sure if you are looking to rent or buy, but there are new buildings down there to rent in. They are along the Hudson with great views of the river and Jersey across the way. The area is right around the world trade area. It might be more pricey than other areas though.
Hoboken, NJ is not a bad place to check out. Short commute into Manhattan.

maybe you should PM me...I'm looking to move, currently live in piscataway, nj. looking at paying 1300 a month for my own apartment with garage in red bank...2600 a month gets you a mansion with THREE car garage in *shifts tie arrogantly* Rrruuumson
red bank train stop is down the street, gets you to the city in about 50 minutes, not sure where you are working...also their are high speed ferries from the north jersey shore to brooklyn/staten island

Anyway, hit up the shake shak if you like burgers. There are several in the city. And since I'm sure you're gong to become a Mets fan you can hit up the one at Citi field too . You're also only going to be working like 2 blocks from little brazil so make sure you go or take clients to Via brazil, freaking awesome food and drink. I love going there for lunch. The rest of my afternoon is a blur. If you're into fancy food they have this thing called restaurant week every year which lets you eat a $100 dollar lunch for like $20 at a lot of different and well respected establishments. Its very popular around here. You will love NYC, tons to do and see. And if you bring your car you can find some decent roads to drive like up by 7 lakes drive or anywhere heading north really. Just expect for it to be parked most of the winter.

Well from what I read it's not ghetto, it's a decent area just has a lot of older buildings. The building I moved too is fairly new, so not too worried about that. It may be ghetto, but I will only be there till 10/1 if it is.
Anyone know if it is ghetto?!

prospect heights isn't bad, actually a friend lived there and I've spent quite a few nights there with no bullet holes to report. A 20 ft street separates a 'bad neighborhood' from a good one...it's very strange. Brooklyn Brewery and Sand Bar are cool spots.
A Z would get jacked there though, any nice car will grow it's own legs if not garaged safely in most of the boroughs

Have you considered east on Long Island? Simple train ride to manhattan. I believe car insurance in Jersey is like double the price. Anyone? If you want to keep your car, and keep it nice, I wouldn't choose Prospect Heights or anywhere else in Brooklyn either. Cars get banged up and parking is tough or non-existent.
