mom's after a black roadster..

too funny. anyone know of someone selling one? 350z Roadster, of course

JamesBadgley Jun 24, 2009 11:26 AM

Everett Nissan had a 05 350z convertible black a month or so ago you might wanna check there..

Entaille Jun 24, 2009 11:29 AM

performance nissan is extremely pushy and their listed prices are always absolutely too high so it makes negotiation difficult. I really dislike that place.

that being said - I actually checked their used inventory and they had a couple 05's in stock but both were being listed at 25~ish k. thanks mang!

JamesBadgley Jun 24, 2009 01:01 PM

yeah there prices are crazy... I bought my 2007 coupe with 14k for 23k

Entaille Jun 24, 2009 01:18 PM

No kiddin! Understandably the roadster costs a little more then our coupes but they are tripping. I am sure there is room for negotiating but you would have to feel like you are totally lowballing them in order for them to counter you with something reasonable.

Negotiating doesn't change regardless of the set price. You know what's there, what condition it's in, and what it's worth. Go do work.

Fail.

Entaille Jun 24, 2009 01:33 PM

say there's a car posted up at 25k, but you know you can find it for 18k-19k elsewhere. you wouldn't feel like you'd have to lowball the crap out of them to get them down that low?

it doesn't change the fact of what things are worth, you're right, but it does make negotiating a little more difficult. coincides with their pushyness, they would try to bump you up higher by saying "we are already taking xx.xx off of the listed price".

maybe it's just me. that's how I view it

Per Kelley Blue Book

05 Roadster

Checked for 50000 miles

This is all Retail Price:

Enthusiast 21,600
Touring 23,260
Grand Touring 24,335

If it's the Grand Touring, they probably listed it at 25k ish to drop a grand and say you're getting a deal. But this all depends on if that car has less than 50k, in that case it could run 25k.

HaulinZ Jun 24, 2009 04:05 PM

how bout a black 03 coupe w/ low low miles? ;)

HaulinZ Jun 24, 2009 04:31 PM

no... unless i do a major part out i would want around 16 for the car in stock condition

xtrmspd Jun 24, 2009 04:47 PM

What do you have in there?

You have much to learn about negotiating, young padawan. :)

I just find it easier to talk a closer to reasonable price, down to a reasonable level is all. I find people that list their price high are willing to drop a good chunk right off the bat, but not enough. just my experience. I've only bought 3 cars and sold a couple so I haven't negotiated a **** ton but I get the jist of how to work the deals. I could benefit from hard balling some dealers around since I haven't gone that route yet. Just shopped for some **** that they were already struggling to get rid of and talking them down a little bit

a year ago when I bought my z there was an 04 roadster with 50k for 18k at one of the places I was checking out, and that was their listed price. deals have to be better by now! we'll see. she is opening up to other color roadsters, but not silver.. too boring :)

she might even want a LMS.. I told her about yours and your headlights, barker!

zand02max Jun 24, 2009 06:53 PM

Don't buy the 05 with Navigation, the automatic door sticks and is crap, hence why Nissan stopped making the electric Nav door!

Entaille Jul 21, 2009 07:04 AM

she's partial to red.. linked me an 07 with 50 miles (wtf) roadster listed @ 30k in Oregon.

I didn't realize they were shopping in that price range. anyone have any ideas or any locals looking to sell, to pass their way prior to them picking something like that up?

LV_MsG2u Jul 21, 2009 02:21 PM

When I bought my G, the sales guy at the first dealership was pushy, weird and made inppropriate comments to me.. REALLY inappropriate. I was going to complain and request a different sales guy, but ended up finding an even better G for a couple thou less at another place.

I ended up having to call my auntie at the sherrif's office and have her go down to the first dealership. The sales guy wouldn't stop emailing and leaving me voicemails.. for over a week after I told him I wasn't going through him. He was WAY creepy. His managers couldn't even get him to stop. He ended up being fired. I have a temp restraining order in effect as well.:icon14:

Good luck finding your mama a new ride. Just remember if you don't like a dealership or the price they're offering you, to just turn and walk away. And that it's a BUYERS market right now ;)

LV_MsG2u Jul 21, 2009 02:25 PM

I've seen this red one listed on craigslist for a while. Don't know what the deal is on it. But here you go..

Entaille Jul 21, 2009 02:55 PM

hey thanks, I'll make sure my 52 year old mama isn't sexually harassed by a dealer! lol.

I was looking at roadsters with miles on them at first, thinking they wanted something cheaper (they being mom/dad), but after they linked me the 30k one I figure they are leaning towards buying something pretty close to new!

definitely a buyers market, just trying to find the right one for em. she keeps changing her mind on color, everytime I talk to her, she wants a different color .. red is the current one! :)

52 huh.. so you're about my age then ;)

Us women tend to change our minds alot. Once you show her something purdy and fast Im sure the color will matter a lot less.
