New to the Z'ness-

Hey guys, I just bought my 350z following my deployment to the desert. I just signed up for this forum a couple days ago and I've been trolling it since- trying to learn a thing or two... Wow there is a lot of info!

I've got a Silver 2003 350Z, and I have lots of plans to make it very nice. Are there any good places you guys know of in the area that are reliable, have decent prices, and aren't out to screw you?

I just moved back to WA after 8 years of being on various deployments, so I'm new, but not so new, anyway- it'll be nice to get to know my fellow Z peeps in WA!

Welcome, welcome !!

welcome dude - thanks for serving.

I am not sure of any local shops to Oak Harbor, but if you are interested in saving money, there are plenty of vendors on this forum that will more then likely beat out any pricing a local shop can offer.

.. but buying from a local shop can build a good relationship with them. I've been using VTR in Everett for a myriad of things and have developed friendships with all the employees, they have been very, very good to me. I've bought things from them I could have saved 10-20% on elsewhere because I'd rather support their shop, I like em that much. usually a 'deal' shopper .. :)

There is a meet this Saturday AND Sunday! :)

Newb Q: here.

I need aftermarket lugs that I can fit a wrench around... I bought someone's 18" Sport Max Racing rims the other day and I can't figure out what lugs I should use... my current wrench can't get around the heads of these lugs when in the new wheels.

Forgot the question. What lugs should I get?

I thought about extending the invitation for the KK meet....but Oak Harbor is a hella long drive for a donut and 10 cent coffee. I don't know if I would drive that far....but maybe I would.

But...if you're interested, you're more than welcome to attend.

And Sunday is great food.

Anybody got a lug nut suggestion? I'm probably going to go pick them up tomorrow, like, as soon as I possibly can manage.

I'd check at some tire shops. It is really important that your lugs match your wheels or it is a really safety issue. With aftermarket wheels, most likely the stock lugs won't match up.

GL with you nutz.

BTW...You need to check in over here and add yourself to the list.

What car were they on before?

hmm. I had an old set of wheels where clearance was an issue for the lugs I had. I picked up some gorilla lockin lugs, still use em. the socket/'key' it came with fit inside the wheels and I was able to use my existing tools with it.

may be a solution for you - as most aftermarket locking lugs come with keys that are narrow enough. you can get the gorilla ones at discount tire, or you can pony up for some higher end ones if you want, online.

Doesn't matter anymore, I got some that fit perfectly! And I installed them tonight! Nice.
