i personally do not like matsumoto's shave ice because the ice is kinda chunky. I like my ice very smooth. There is a better place called "waiola shave ice" in town. They have all the ice cream and toppings as well

and Arvin, if you decide to go to Bubbies, go to the one on University Ave. Your iPhone should show you the address.
The golf place is not far from Bubbies. It's on the corner of S King St and Richards St. just north of the King Kamehameha Statue. Call me when you're there

If you want a real meal, go to Alan Wong's. Chef's tasting without wine was $80 per person when I was there. 8 courses, and just as many desserts...sooo good.
1857 S. King Street, Third Floor Honolulu

Oh and go to Coco Ichiban Curry, Japanese fast food chain curry store, you choose your topping of fried or stewed meats. Beats any curry at any real Japanese restaurant here. You can't miss them, there stores are all yellow.
There's a few of them:
Curry House Coco Ichiban
1960 Kapiolani Blvd
Honolulu, HI
Want a real Japanese Izakaya meal, unknown by tourists? Osamu of Sushi Sam's personally recommended this place to me and my ex, we weren't disappointed. Try the Dynamite Roll Go here:
