Maybe he has a G37 now. I was in the last 6 cars last time I was there with the Z Car Garage guys, then I gave it away to an Audi. He was good though.
I called because of all the smoke but it is still on for today. It is so windy there it shouldn't be a problem. I'll be down there around 3. Old guy with a black Z/Black wheels.

I would run it. As long as you have oil there shouldn't be any problem.

I have a meeting on how to handle hydrofluoric acid. Simple - don't touch it, don't breath it. Joy. I was really looking forward to the cool temps, high-octane gas, and getting kicked out so I can head home early.

lol @ getting kicked out. yeah the cool temps should be nice. i havent looked at the baro but i would think that with all this smoke in the air it would be nice and heavy. low temps + high baro FTW!!

edit: just checked and the pressure is nothing special (29.92 in-hg and falling). not high but not low, so i guess just low temps FTW

If I recall correctly, that is the acid that will go through glass. MY favorite is Nitric acid, cuz it makes your hands smoke when you get it on them....they also turn yellow.

Got down to the last 6 cars again. Everyone has an excuse at the drags. Wanna hear mine? My bungee cord came loose and took most of the skin off the back of my left hand and I was bleeding all over the place. That is true, it is a novel excuse, but I just got greedy and fouled out against a guy who had a .5xx reaction time.

Enjoyed meeting everyone and we should do it again before too long.

to keep the hood tight when it is windy at Infineon. Two of us have broken windhields when the wind caught the Z's micky mouse hood props and blown them back into the windshield. Fark, my hand hurts this morning........

Yup, HF etches glass. That's also part of why we <3 it. It also leaches calcium from bone, and can be lethal in as little as 2% skin coverage; hence the training. One fun mixture I make is your favorite, nitric, with HF and H2SO4. They boil when you put them together - joy.

So you got to the final 6! Then - fuumbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbble! Why are you being so modest with your times? Hook me up with the breakdowns. . . Bungee cords suck.

The best time I ran all night was 13.122 and the strange thing was I coasted the last 100 feet or so cuz I had the guy by 10 car lengths. I'm still having that strange miss. Guess i need to bring it down to Rob. It's almost as if the piggyback or ECU is telling the rev limiter to kick in ahead of schedule. It is the same sensation that you would have hitting the rev limiter. It shuts the engine off for 1/10th sec or so. It doesn't do it if I shift short (5500 instaed of 6500) I alway account for the rev run up during shifts, so it isn't that.

Any Idea's.

I majored in chem.......at least for a few years. I wouldn't want to be in the room when you mixed those three together. I did all kinds of stupid things with acids.

how late can you shift without it doing that? if its still relatively late, like 6000+ then next time youre at infineon you should try that and see if the times improve. i would think if you can get close to the limiter and not have that problem you would see better times

The first shift is set for 5k and doesn't always miss. The other 3 shifts are at 6k and they feel like I hit the rev limiter although I can see that max rpm reached is only 6200-6300 rpm or so. In the past the rev limiter hit at 6600rpm.

yeah, the limiter is at 6650 from the factory. 5k is really low to be shifting at, especially from first. whats the reason for that? is it the same issue?
