America's Iron Chef SUCKS
 

I've watched the past 3 America's Iron Chef, none of the Japanese Chefs won. I think it's rigged to have all the American Chefs too win :mad:. Plus, I don't think it's as fun to watch as Japan's Iron Chef. Has anyone else watched the show??

I've watched the original Iron Chef in the past but haven't caught any of the new ones against the Americans. No time- watching nothing but hockey and basketball playoffs over the past two weeks.

Yeah, I've been watching the b-ball playoffs too. America's Iron Chef reruns are on around 11pm, so I've been watching that too since not much in the news.

Only the Nihongo Iron Chef for me... haven't caught even one American version, and according to Tony's report, glad that I haven't ;)

yeah, the American version sucks. i also thought it was rigged. hey tony, is chef morimoto the same guy that was in the japanese version?? cuz it doesn't look like him at all. well maybe he just gained weight and grew his hair.

the true jdm iron chef is hella better that the usdm iron chef!!! kinda like car parts. :D

Yeah, that's Morimoto from Japan. He gained alot of weight. Grew his hair to try to cover the weight. :D

The judges suck... i saw the first 2 episodes and said ..eff it

saw the first episode and never went back....

got to give it to the american broadcasting to ruin a good cult following:rolleyes:

maybe because last time bobby flay and morimoto battled in new york, morimoto won.... now, this time, they rigged it in favor of the american chefs, all of whom suck except for mayb wolfgang... his Spago restaurant is pretty good (so i heard from my cousin)

yeah, i think wolfgang is the best... granted the show is so rigged... but i think the j version is semi riggted also :D

the judges sucked sooo bad.... they thought shark fin tasted like noodles.....:icon11: :icon11: :icon11:

I think the host is bad too with that dry a$$ attitude. Need to marinate him in soy sauce :D, maybe then the show will be a bit fun to watch. :D

it's like iron chef in twilight zone... kinda stupidly funny.... just like Letterman?

The "JDM" version is 100x better. It simply isn't interesting any more. The flying japanese characters and hilarious dubbing made the other one worth watching. The US version is just terrible...

I agree with you guys that it sucks and is rigged. I watched one of the episodes and one of the judges has never tried japanese food before.

Television is the Devil's tool. It will stupify your mind. Stay away from it at all costs!

Maybe that's part of the problem. Not defending the show since as I'm a huge fan of the Japanese original, but the judges were all American so I'd imagine they would have a bias towards familiar flavors / styles.
