Maui's first Fastest Streetcar Shootout
 

i think the event will be held in mid augest. not too sure on the exact date though. anyone gonna try and come out? i know there are a couple supra guys from O'ahu that are gonna run. might be fun watching some boosted Zs take a stab at it. there hoping to get at least a quick 16, racing heads-up, FULL STREET(license, registration, insurance, full interior, etc.)all NHRA rules will apply. the big debate right now is wether or not to use slicks, especially for the fwd honda guys. should be pretty fun.

Where are they going to run this?

Maui Raceway Park. theyre hoping to get enought real competitors to make it an annual event. with HRP closing i would expect alot of O'ahu guys to start coming out.

EDIT - i just found out that a full street legal 9 sec. Viper will be showing up.:eek:

Cool, I'll need to free up the time to go over and check that out. YB is really going to have to help the Oahu guys out on shipping costs. Pretty price to pay to run your car over the weekend. It'll be tough too, the space to Maui on their barges is at a premium. :(

It would be nice to see a few Turbo Z's there. Never saw one run down the 1/4 here on island.
