Digital SLR's

What is everyone is using? I am looking into buying a Nikon D70. I am not sure though.

I'm taking a hard look at the D70s. Might just go with the D50.

Excuse my lack of research, but what are the major differences?

My ex got the Cannon Rebel xt 8 Megapixel; great camera. It'll take three pics every two seconds for as long as you have space, the size and color quality of the images is excellent. And the camera is really easy to use, and doesn't have any irritating interface problems.

If I had that cash to spend on an SLR camera, I'd almost certainly get the Cannon.

But, I haven't used the comparable Nikon, so I'm biased.

The D50 seems like a good alternative if you don't need the extra metering zones, etc.

this is exactly what you need, http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond50/

i have the d50 and my buddy has the d70. we are both very happy with our cameras. the review (link above) will answer any question you might have.

if you are comfortable with dSLRs, the D70s would be the one to get. I don't have a clue with all the settings, let alone WB etc. Don't want to be overwhelmed with the camera so I'm going with the D50. Plus, with the price difference, I can get a better lens. =)

Well I am coming from a higher end camera in the video section. Right now I have a GL2 for digital video, so I am pretty adept with wb and other things.

you'll probably be happier with the D70s. i'm also a little color blind or "color defficient" according to the optometrist so I couldn't see the slightest change.:(
