That's a muscle machines die cast car for sure. Proportions are a little off even though the details are great.

Nice shot though, did you use fishing wire?

-miltdoggie- 01-28-2009 10:59 AM

Sweet pic, sweet toy, did you take the pic?

TYC 01-28-2009 11:06 AM

Thanks for the comments everyone. Some of you still think it's a real car? :D I thought the fence would have gave it away immediately.

Yes, the rig was attached to the car. If you are going with photoshop, you'll see where I cloned out the rig.

What's the twist? Have you ever seen a 1:18 scale car in a rig shot? :icon22:

What do you mean proportions are off? Like what? And no, I was not using fishing wire. The rig was attached to the car.

Thanks. Yes, I took the picture. It's for a contest with the theme "Slow shutter speed".

Not RC. That would be a panning shot, which is so much easier to execute. This was a 1:18 scale model car. That means it can move on it's own and have to be driven by a 2" asian guy. :D

The wheels are a little big for an NSX. I'm sure there are probably people out there who put huge wheels on, but it's pretty rare.

Key holes and gas tank are also "engraved".

I am impressed with the detail of this model though.

Gotcha. I thought you were talking about the front or rear end of the car...I was gonna say it's because it was shot with a Ultra wide lens. Which distorts the edges of the picture. But yea, the area's you've mention are true. You have a good eye. If you think it's detailed. You should see the engine bay.....

You know what they say....it takes one to know one. :naughty: Ok, ok....I'll stop it.

Anyways, I bought it like that. I believe it was a Muscle Machine series that came out a while back. These are VERY detailed, the NSX is turbocharged. There's a supra which is insanely detailed. From seats, steering wheels, pedals, engine bay to full exhaust.

ni$mo350 01-28-2009 12:30 PM

Sorry I'm partially colorblind and even when the pic is blown up I can't see the guy but I trust ya haha.
