DIY...fill up the clutch master cylinder and then open the bleeder until the fluid starts to run out, then close the bleeder valve. go ahead and refill the clutch master cylinder and then have your buddy press the clutch pedal to the floor and open the bleeder real quick and then close it. have your buddy release the pedal then push it back in again and open and close the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder. do that several times and once the air is out, the pedal should feel normal and no air bubbles are coming out of the slave cylinder bleeder screw. When you do this make sure the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder doesn't get to low because air could get stuck in the system.Hope this helps

Default updates...

Well bleed the clutch yesterday and no fukin luck... there was no air in the cyclinder. The pedal would go down easy but wouldn't come back up.. So now I am gonna swap out the slave cyclinder . Hopefully this will be the answer to the problem. IT was a beautiful weekend, sunny outside and all I was able to do was work on my car.

This has been a terrible experience; lots of money, stress and no running car after 8 months...

Dil.....I opened a thread about that...you have to keep doing it. The same thing happened to me. The dealer even changed the master cylinder and the slave and still it did not help. You have to keep bleeding it until you bleed....

how does the pedal feel when you push on it? Just it sort of "spring" downward with very little tension, or does it push downward as you would normally expect it to?

BTW - very nice setup, nice and clean. Love the bumper!

The pedal goes down like normal for the 3/4 of the way... but the last 1/4 I have to push pretty hard in order for the car to engage to start it. And the peddal will not come back up... it takes about 2-3 hours for it to come back up by itself.

Dil.....

I went through the samething.....The dealer went throught it also...but I assure you the bleeding will fix it. It also would not start for me. I pulled the pedal up with my hand and kept pumping it...it then would start. I also had problems getting it in gear.

I know how you feel....when you think you got rid of all the air....there is still some left. Keep bleeding ....keep bleeding !!

Now can I get free entry fee for this info.... j/k

lol... thanks well looks like im gonna keep bleeding it.

So let me get this process clear....

Pump 5-6 times, on the 6th time hold the pedal down, then open the bleeder valve... let the fluid poor out till it stops (2-3 seconds) then wait an additional 2-3 seconds when no fluid is coming out and close the valve, then release the clutch pedal.

Is this correct? This is what I have been doing...

Here is something else that I went through....Shifting at low speeds..the clutch would feel sticky...but under boost the clutch would feel good. You will soon pass the air throught the system. Bleed Dil.... Bleed

here is what I've done and it's worked for me - I had a similar problem bleeding mine when we did the new motor/clutch, etc....and I even replaced the master and slave at the same time too (sort of a "while we're in there" thing), and it still gave us a hard time until:

http://www.v8archie.com/arch4.htm

as with anything I am sure there is more than one way to do it successfully. I will be at the shop later, I could cut and paste the factory procedure if you like

for some reason, this car seems insanely hard to bleed anything....don't even get me started on the coolant (took us hours!!!)
