1033 RWHP!! SP350Z New Billet Turbos!
Well Harry, the owner of Precision turbo who sponsored us on the turbos for our Z, wanted me to try his new billet 62mm turbos. He wanted a back to back dyno, same car, same boost etc. He was guessing that we would pick up 4-500 RPMs of better spool and that peak HP would be about the same. He was right!! These new compressor wheels are CNC'd on a 5 axis machine and are LIGHTWEIGHT!!! They feature much improved aerodynamics over the older style cast wheels.
http://spracingonline.com/upload/fil...E62billets.JPG Here is a dyno graph exploded to show the difference between the 62s and 67s. I only printed off the RPM band where there was a major difference. At one point we picked up over 111 ft lbs of TQ!! http://spracingonline.com/upload/fil...50z_67to62.jpg And lastly here is the complete 1033 dyno sheet. http://spracingonline.com/upload/fil...z_1033rwhp.jpg We are going to turn it up to maybe 35-40 psi soon! I may have to up the injector size or at least up the fuel pressure first. 1100 RWHP should be easy and we think that 1200 RWHP is doable!! These new turbos really like higher pressure ratios!! Again thanks to all of our sponsors!! Larry SP |

Awesome Job guys! Very cool to see.
I know he posted that they drive the car on the street. Why wouldn't it be a street car? :) |
I drove it on the street today and at base boost 12psi it pulls HARD!!! I'll get the camera mounted in the car tomorrow for some incar footage.
We're taking the car to the track this Friday :) I'll see what she can do on the 6spd :gotowned: Chris |
Sub'g for in car 30 psi street pulls (who cares about traction, lol)
Seriously, you guys are doing crazy stuff! |
