Installation Help: Black Projector Headlights on a '04
I recently bought a '04 350z base model in Black w/ Black interior.
My overall plan for this car is to black it out...So right away I started ordering aftermarket parts for it.
What I am trying to figure out at this moment is how to install the front headlights.
The Female plugs on my car have a "8-pin" design...While the plugs on both of the headlights have a Male "6-pin" design.
Help! Does someone have a link to an aftermarket adapter or a harness that is made to make this modification work? Or would it have to be a cut/spice type of job? This is my first buying aftermarket parts that are not exactly plug & play so any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Your car has HID's. Those lights are halogen.
03-05 had either halogen or HID low beams. Both had halogen hi-beams
06-08 only has on type of HID headlight
6pin = halogen (03-05)
8pin = HID (03-05)

BTW you could've just upgraded to the nicer 06-08 lights. They don't have reflectors for the hi-beams or low-beams so they're already more blacked out:

$499! Sheesh...I was looking for a more cheaper alternative.
Had no idea my car was equip w/ HIDS but it all makes sense now.
I'm going to look around & see if I can find a pair of cost efficient "BlackOut" HID Headlights.

Honestly if you don't want to upgrade to the 06-08 style headlights, you're better off just baking open your stock lights and painting them black yourself. Otherwise you're basically paying $200 for some black paint. Blacking out your stock lights can be done for less that $10.
The 06-08 lights are a pretty nice upgrade. OEM go for over $1k for the pair so when the depo's came out a few years ago it was quite a bargain. If you're going for a "blacked-out" look, 06-08 is the way to go. You can even open up the 06-08 and black out the chrome bits without losing much output (just the turn signal and parking lights).

A bit cheaper on ebay and other sites:

At first it was all about "Blacking the vehicle out"
Now its basically revolving around being cheap...What I'm really searching for is the cheapest alternative.

I decided to return the aftermarket "Black Out" headlights to the seller.
I am now waiting on a refund for the amount that I spent on them.
Since only the Left headlight was damaged on the car, I plan to purchase a used headlamp for that side via Ebay.
Right now I am more focused on getting it back together & on the road more than anything.
I will later take the initiative of "smoking" the factory lights, but for now I will repair the Z back to its oem form.
Searched Ebay & came up w/ these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NISSAN-350Z-...VX4EM2&vxp=mtr
Of course, there were cheaper lights listed but most of those were either scuffed up on the lens or have broken tabs on the backside.
Since I plan to ride w/ a oem look for a while, I wanted to opt for a clean headlamp w/ little to no damage.

Took the parts # from RockAuto.com & used it to search Ebay.
Ending up finding this LH Headlamp for only $89.98!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Headligh...5YQu69&vxp=mtr
The photos are detailed, which shows the 8-pin Male plugs that are needed to connect to my car.
Also says that they are for HID (Xenon) equipped 350z's...03-05.
However the assembly does NOT include a bulb; Does anyone know what size/type bulb these headlamps use?
Thanks in advance.
