Supsies.
First post here. Forums scare me since keyboard warriors tend live by a textbook they haven't read - and defend it with their life.
Whelp, i'm not talking about you...so we good.
I'm a BRZ owner and lover who opted to not ruin his car drifting it so I opted for a Z instead.
PIcked up an 03 Touring with 128k (no ticking or 3/5 grinds) for $3500
On the way home, the tensioner pulley for the powersteering/alternator fell off, so that was cool.
Now she's in the garage all stripped down. The block/plugs/phlenum/hoses was covered in oil and power steering fluid so I changed out the valve cover gaskets, oil cooler gasket, camshaft position sensor o-rings, replaced most of the hoses with generic hoses (way cheaper), new coolant reservoir, etc.
Here's what's left to do...
-Oil Pressure Sensor
-Idler Pulley
-Flush Radiator
-Transmission Oil Change
-Remove Broken Wheel Spacers
-Weld Exhaust leaks
I'm hoping Abby, that's her name, will be "reliable" after all that.
I'm headed down to PBM this week to grab a front angle kit, inline handbrake kit, rear toe rods and camber arms.
BC DR Coilovers coming soon.
Pretty stoked to have this car.

Auto or 6spd? Pretty sure there isnt an oil cooler stock, unless you have an aftermarket one or are talking about transmission fluid cooler (auto only)

Truue. I did throw new plugs in some Bosch iridium plugs nothing fancy. Was gonna do the diff fluid but I’m trading my VLSD for a welded open diff so I’ll just save that for the future.

Hey Kevin, congrats on picking up your '03 350Z. Buying a car of that vintage always requires a little fettling so i reckon you're doing the right thing by getting everything done now instead of spending every weekend fixing what broke during the week. Here's to many miles of fun & madness.

My true-coilovers are arriving monday and was wondering what all i'll need to get my alignment right? (going low)
Normally i'd guess toe arms and camber arms, but seems like there's a traction rod thrown into the mix?

If you need a idle pulley tensioner PM me - I think I got an extra one.

I hope it also came with an LS1 or 2JZ!! It’s getting welded up tomorrow morning so fingers crossed. My local Nissan has a Motordyne phelnum spacer on the shelf so i swooped that. Also threw on some super Chinese megan open test pipe and HR Y pipe. Just gonna run 3” all the way back. Should be dialed in by this weekend. You know, unless the welding doesn’t work..again

Welding rather unconventional but I'm sure it'd be work just fine. Can I assume you are simply welding the hole shut and either going oil pressure sensor-less or going to retap somewhere else?
def grab some pictures of the final project.

Yessir. Welding shut and gonna do it inline on an oil cooler setup. I’ve got a few 1/4 male bsp to 1/8th female bsp if i wanted to tap, but got scared and decided to close it up.
