Reinforcing VQ35de for track abuse
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2004 350z dedicated track car. Fully caged with straight pipes, intake, baffled oil pan, AC delete, aftermarket radiator and hoses, plenum spacer.
My question, for the guys who track the hell out of their 350z, what parts of the engine do I need to reinforce?

Is it safe to assume you have solid engine mounts? Upgraded chassis/trans/diff mounts? Can you add a dampening crank? Hood vents?

besides keeping the oil and coolant in their temp range. The engine is very reliable.
Mine had almost 120,000miles and the last 5 years were in a race series. Kept mine below 6800rpm. and my final compression test before it was sold was 178-181 psi across all cylinders and less than 5-6% leakdown in all.
This is also including newbie mistakes like misshifts when learning how to track drive.
