Default Revup non revup dilema.

I am in a quandary.

I have a ti trim vortech supercharged, built motor 350z De car that needs the motor changed out.

Here is the problem.
I have a new built spare short block that will be going in.
To go with it, I have a set of non rev heads that are bone stock. I also own a set of revup heads that are fully built with c8r cams.
What are my options?

Since I really don't care about exhaust cam phasing, can 8 just leave that unplugged and use a De timing stuff and we timing covers? Reason being is that I don't want to have to get a new revup vortech bracket.

I was under the assumption the rev up heads were better isn't that why you would rather run those? Keeping the supercharger bracket that's another bonus.

I'm not sure (either) but are the heads better or are the cam shafts better? I dont know the nuts/bolts/bits of the rev-up heads?

why does the engine need changed out? Is the block damaged or are internals damaged? what internals are you running?

are you looking to do any headers/exhaust work with this swap? any other issues with the original built block?

Couple questions.. What year is your Z? What kind of engine management are you running, stock or aftermarket ECU/ECM? I'm guessing that you're using the VQ35DE(NON REV-UP) EFI engine harness?

Found the solution. Jwt sells cam sprockets that turns the exhaust cams into not being electronically and magnetically controlled. Can use the De timing and timing cover with that

I'd go with the DE, as you will have a much simpler belt system with less problems.

That’s what I would do, or just buy C8 cams for DE use.

As far as the heads are concerned, they are identical. Just have the extra hole machined out on the backside for the sensors
