Considering purchasing: are these stock seats?!
Hi there, I'm considering buying a 2005 Touring Roadster.
The airbag light is flashing (codes B1129 and B1134), so I'm wondering if that could be caused the seats being aftermarket without side airbags. The owner is unsure, so I'm wondering if anyone here can confirm whether or not these are stock/OEM seats on a 2005 Roadster?
If they are stock, any suggestions since I have BOTH of these codes??
Thanks!

Those are the burnt orange seats specific to the Z33 Z Roadster. As for the codes, there could be any number of explanations. Get a Nissan tech with a CONSULT III to do a diagnostic if you can't resolve it yourself.

Look at the outside edges of the seat backs. If you see a panel that says "SRS AIRBAG," the seats have airbags installed. Otherwise, they don't. It's possible the previous owner installed these seats in place of the original ones, which may have had airbags.

Thank you!
Thanks for all the replies guys. Very helpful as always!
The seller and I put the SRS into diagnostic mode and were hoping to shed light on the issue based on the frequency of the airbag light flashing. However, once in diagnostic mode, it continued to flash at the same 3 seconds on, 2 seconds off, etc. Signifying no issue present.
So we reset the light, I bought the car, and it’s been 2 days and about 100 miles and it hasn’t come back on yet. Fingers crossed that it stays off permanently.
However, another issue surfaced: engine knocking! I posted a new thread in the engine/drivetrain forum with a video. I’m hoping that’s not too serious.
Thanks again!

The seller was super helpful along the entire way trying to diagnose the airbags, and when I told him about the knocking he said he had never heard it before. And honestly, on the two test drives I took it on, I didn’t hear it either. So I think I just got unlucky where it started right after I bought it. So I wouldn’t expect him to take it back.
It might not actually be an internal knock, it sounds a little different than the knocking I had on a previous G/Z, so maybe it’s something else. I added oil and all the pressures/temps look good. Maybe the video will shed some light? Here’s the thread for the knocking video: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...g-at-idle.html
