2003 350z No throttle response
Hey guys so recently I bought a 2003 350z clean title with 88k miles and the purpose of it is to build it as a drift car, I drove it for 1hour after I bought it and it drove amazing, the next day we were stripping out the interior and after gutting it being very careful, I had no throttle after gutting it, I got codes p2127 and p2122, I proceeded to change the APP sensor for another 350z oem one, and It did nothing, I double checked and all the wires are good and plugged in tight, after that I went to turn it back on and Throttle worked fine for about 20 seconds and than after that no more response AGAIN, checked again, worked again 20 seconds later it wasn’t working anymore, at one point I was fully off the throttle and it was holding RPM by itself as if I was giving it throttle, I have no idea what it could be and my best bet is the ECU since we have a good sensor, good circuits and a good throttle body everything works until the ECU decides to ignore throttle to the engine... any suggestions?
also, is it true that if you remove the app sensor and put another one back into the pedal it won’t work properly? I heard the way it’s installed should be a one time thing only from Nissan

Hello, This could be several things but my guess is during the strip-out , you disconnected the pedal sensor with the ecu still plugged in.
In order, I would do.
1. Pedal sensor recalibration.
Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning ABS000RL
DESCRIPTION
“Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning” is an operation to learn the fully released position of the accelerator
pedal by monitoring the accelerator pedal position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time
harness connector of accelerator pedal position sensor or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch “ON” and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
2. Throttle body closed position learning
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning ABS000RM
DESCRIPTION
“Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning” is an operation to learn the fully closed position of the throttle valve
by monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of
electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
3. Turn ignition switch “OFF” wait at least 10 seconds.
Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.
After that, you'll need to do a idle air relearn, the procedure requires warmed up engine ( coolant > 158F, good battery 12.9V min, etc...) get yourself a FSM for the whole procedure or search the forum for it.
Good luck.

Relatable issue
So when I first bought my car I had a similar issue, no throttle response in gear with minimal throttle response in neutral, the issue turned out to be a bad connector for the alternator.
I simply had someone wiggle the cable until I could see the volts hit 14 and had him super glue the cable in place.
( Not the best case scenario but months later have yet to see the volts drop to a questionable level )

Solution
I had the p2122 and p2127 on my 350z drivetrain and I replaced the APP sensor. At first it did not work and I saw a lot of people saying you had to replaced the entire pedal assembly which seemed dumb to me. So I looked at the switch and found out if you install it with the piece that slides in the top of the pedal resting closed it won't work. You have to install it in such a way that it is preloaded and the sensor is just slightly open. Otherwise it doesn't allow the .9v through it and won't work. Also there is also a lot of crappy sensors for sale aftermarket wise so make sure you buy an OEM one, it is worth the extra $10 bucks.

I had the no throttle response after changing my APP sensor but this sorted it straight away , thankyou
