Default Window Tint - Have you been pulled over ?

If you have window tint and have been pulled over and hassled or cited for it . . . .

What tint do you have ? 30....20.....5 ?

What City, State did you get pulled over in ?

Fine, Warning, or ?

20% F/R outside of Seattle, got pulled over once for no front plate, wasn't cited but the officer commented that my tint was too dark - which was strange as all my windows were down at the time.

Ended up beating the ticket as the officer cited me for 'damage or altered plate' when in fact I had no plate at all. Pretty happy with myself on that one :P

edit: i said 30%, i meant 20%

The cadi I just bought appears to have 15% on all windows, and the entire windshield is tinted, not sure how much but its noticeable. I usually have the sunroof shade open to let more light in.

Funny this would come up. I recently got a $130 fine for around 8% window tint, in TX.

I should have rolled the windows all the way down, but had left them partially up when I was pulled over. Only a state trooper would chase you down for such a criminal infraction.

If you want a darker tint, but want to try and avoid hassle, I would reccomend 20%.

30% has kept law enforcement happy. All tinted except front windshield in OC, SoCal.
