Default Part fell off my car?

My 04 350z has been making a weird rattling sound that seems to be coming from the bellhousing. It sounds like something is just barely touching the bellhousing and causing this noise. Today it was louder than normal and all of a sudden I hear a loud clunk as if I ran over something. I stopped and found this on the street. Weird thing is the rattle is gone. This was too small for me to have just run it over and hit it with my oil pan. Is this part of the body or was this just a couple coincidence that it was laying after I heard the sound?

You'll need to fix the IMG links to your images. Not working correctly.

Counterweight. Installed front and rear of car in diagonal locations to compensate for the natural frequency of the chassis. Essentially a deadener of NVH. That’s likely the front one given the weathered condition.

Great. I have been searching vibration dampeners for 350z but can’t find anything. Do you know where it goes?

Is yours a roadster? Don’t recall if all the couoes have them.... But the front counterweight is ahead of the driver’s side front wheel.

I never found one on my 03 track but have heard they had them on the trans as well. I believe my previous owner removed them. I would have if he didn't.
