Long story short...looking seriously at getting a Z Roadster. (full story in this post, if you are interested)

SO...wondered if any of the Charlotte area folks had any recommendations of the many Charlotte area dealers?

THanks!

i dont really know about charlotte dealerships but i would stay away from modern nissan of lake norman. the salesman was a dick when i was looking at cars and was very forceful and was pressuring me into buying a car. if you were looking at a g35 i would highly recommend lake norman infiniti. i only know of independence nissan in the area but i have no experience with them.

Sorry to hear this about Modern Nissan of Lake Norman. They have a great, mod friendly service department.

I pruchased my car before they opened. I shopped everywhere around here and most of SC and VA. I purchased from Mommarito Nissan in St. Louis. I dealt with Todd Eversgerd. No haggle, fixed price. Even after shipping, he bet my best price by $2,200.

The number is 314-731-2228. If you buy from Todd, please let him know who referred you and let me know.

Good Luck!

When I was in the market for my Z, Nissan of Statesville was trying to give away what they had since they're doing a bunch of construction. I will say that the sales manager (the salesman handed me off when I was playing hardball), was putting a bit of pressure on me. But they were offering a decent price on a new 05 (Silver Enthusiast 5AT for 26k). Had it been the color I was looking for, then I probably would have considered it a bit more.

Oh..and to echo Morris....the parts department at Modern is pretty good. I've dealt with them a few times now and haven't been disappointed.

I've also heard good things about Nissan of Hickory.

when you are done buying the Z, and plan on modding it, take it by CPrace. www.cprace.com , planning on going up there to get my vortech unit tuned in the next few weeks. check out the web page. they are having group buy for vortech superchargers. www.cprace.com .

I had a good car buying experience with Independence Nissan. Not crazy about their service dept, tho. SInce buying the car, I've been taking my Z to Modern Nissan of Lake Norman for service. As Morris mentioned, their service area is top notch.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I DID get my Z! 2005 Roadster Touring, CS, Frost Leather, Blue top.

Pics in this thread if you wanna see: https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/134140-pics-of-my-new-z-just-got-it-last-night.html

I ended up getting mine at Independence Nissan. Took 2 trips, 3 emails, and 3 or 4 phone calls, but they finally came around to what I needed! I originally tried to work with Harrelson Nissan in Rock Hill, but they weren't very responsive on trying to find the color combo I was looking for, since they didnt have one on the lot. They weren't much on returning phone calls either. Luckily, the color combo I wanted just happened to show up at Independence right out of the blue! Worked out pretty good!

Congrats on the new Z! Look forward to seeing it at the Z jam car show (I noticed from the other thread you would be going).

DWS44, I am glad you are happy with your purchase. I look forward to meeting you at the show. If you want to learn more about the show and the Carolina Z Club, we are having a meeting Monday night at Independence Nissan @ 7:00.

I have attached a registration form for ZJam.
