Where's a good place to live in Florida.
I have been getting a little stir crazy here in California and I think it's time for a change of scenery. Florida seems to now be the top state on my short list so I am just trying to figure out where.
I want to live in or near (withing 20 miles) or a large city (150,000+) people. I want that city to have a large job market and be friendly to business. I want it to be a relatively safe area to live. Schools ARE NOT a priority. I want to live very close to the coast as well. I want to also live in an area of growth/expansion. Places I have been looking at so far are; Sarasota, Tampa/St Pete, and Jacksonville. I want to live in a brand new home as well so a lot of new home construction is nice and it signals a growing area. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |
Don't move here.. Trust me .. IT SUCKS

Daytona does suck, I lived there 4 years going to school.
Anyway to Raceboy's question it seems to me that he Tampa area is probably the best, Sarasota too small and Jacksonville just too sprawling and constantly under construction, too industrial for me. |
Dang Gus, Beat me to the punch again..........now how am I gonna convince him you gotta go further south than Lake Worth.......lol, Dave
