please give me some feedback or ideas, i am planning to add a stillen type 1 rear spoiler, tons of audio goodies, and 20x8.5 chrome in the front, 20x10 chrome in the rear.

the only mods so far, are the interior, the clear front bumper reflectors and the billet grill insert.

I have only had the car 6 weeks, and from how sick everyone else's looks on this forum i have a ways to go. so please be nice when replying.

the carbon fiber dash kit was around $225.00 shipped and I bought it off of ebay, it is made by a company called Sherwood.
The seat covers are synthetic leather and they were $195.00 from a company called Iggee's custom seat covers of California

I also ordered a chrome/carbon fiber Nismo shift knob that will be here soon and a shift boot that is black & leather pattern with matching E-brake. will post pics of those soon.-----------S

How is the fitment on those interior pieces? I like the way they look.

I was skeptical at first because I had the neoprene ones in my E36 M3 and the fitment was horrible. however the old ones had clips for under the seat, which would not move around because of the clips. on these seat covers they are almost laser cut to fit the Z, cutouts for the lever behind the passengers head, and cutouts for the side air bags, so they fit absolutley perfect, but the system to hold them under the seats are cheap and done with little metal paper clip thingamajiggers, so over time we shall see, but
195.00 is pretty cheap for synthetic leather and being able to design whatever color and patterns you want.

the interior dash trim kit is another story, I am as pleased as can be with it. it is another thing i had in my M3, that quality was so-so, but it appears they have come a long way in 5-6 years.

in the pic i have not installed the carbon fiber pieces that cover the navigation door, because we are waiting to do something custom with an Alpine w-200 in dash dvd, that is why it looks like something is missing-------------S

Nice car, nice color (I should know). IMHO you should reconsider the purchase of 20" chrome rims. The unsprung weight of those suckas will SEVERELY degrade the braking and handling qualities of your Z. Consider a set of forged 18" wheels and you'll also find a greater selection of tires that won't cost an arm and a leg. The chance of bending a rim also goes up with the short sidewalls of a 20" tire.

i know i have heard everyone's opinions on here about the chrome rims, but I think blacking everything out looks good on silver & black cars but makes red ones almost seem cheap. I have seen some red cars that look pretty good with the hyper black polished rims, etc. but I love tha gangsta sh!t, (I grew up in Louisiana) I even had 19x8.5, and 19x9.0 staggered (rolled fenders) on my e36 M3 with 2" eibach lowering springs and Bilstein sport shocks, and of course they were triple chromed. However the ride on it pretty much went to hell. but I thought the Z wouldn't do that as long as I don't lower it, and as long as the wheel has a 4-5" lip it will still look nice and be blingin'

lots of people on here have 5zigen, Volk, etc. 20's and as long as they aren't chrome everyone seems fine with the size of them,is it the chrome plating process that adds so much weight or what?

IMO the bigger the wheel, and the more the chrome, the better they look on ANY car, ddddiiiirrrttyyyy south baby

There are plenty more wheels choices out there to include 18" chrome choices. Try a basic search at www.TireRack.com to start.

Please tell me that you didn't actually stop in the road for that first pic. :confused:

I'll second what others have said about wheel sizes. Obviously it's your car and you can do what you want with it, but you'll be paying for that 20" bling every time you get on the gas or turn the steering wheel.

And to answer your question about highway 36, it goes from I-25 (just north of downtown Denver) up through Boulder, and into the mountains to Estes Park. It's a fun drive.

if you didn't want the constructive feedback from those who are in the know about 350's in this area, why did you ask, Mr. Dirrrrrrtttttyyyyy South? It seems like you're determined to put the 20's in the Z, so do it.

And no, the chroming doesn't add the weight, the sheer size of the wheel and tire adds the weight.

no that's actually not a real road it goes down to some kind of power station or corp of engineers building. I took alot of nicer pictures (with my camera set on smallest size, lowest quality) and all the other pics came out around 1-2 MB in size, and this site will only let me post pics with the size under 200 KB????? that is why the pics kind of sucked.

anyway wasn't trying to offend any one about the wheel questions. I know a lot of people on here are all about tuning/performance, etc. I just bought the Z for looks, it is the closest thing I could afford at the time with the look of an exotic car. the rx-8 sucks, the evo & sti are ugly, and I couldn't go back to bmw after my old one fell apart, so i thought japanese relaiability with sexy looks works for me.
obviously no one appreciates the dirty south out here, that must be why there are no white boys with gold & diamonds in their mouth. my buddy and I are working on a 87 monte carlo donk that i will post pics of when we finish (it will have 30" rims)

Also I'm sure Yutaka Katayama feels the same way and would be embarrass to see his dream destroyed the way many Americans add fancy large wheels, lambo doors, and ulgy body kits. BUT it is your car and you can do whatever the hell you want to it.

Sorry for the rant... :o It just that you have a beautiful Redline Z!!! While I feel the CF interior is a bit much its still nicely done so far. Maybe consider getting some '06 Z wheels for your "bling" factor. 20" wheels will end up doing so much more damage than benefit.
