We'll see everyone all day.. I'm good with either track dinner, or somewhere else, but keep in ind that somewhere else might be a little quiter, a bit cleaner, and have more varieties of alcohol. Considering that tha AI/CMC drivers are responsible for dinner, I expect Coors Light and Pabst Blue Ribbon might be the only beer choices at dinner

I've always wanted to check out a track dinner, but I'm thinking it's going to be uncomfortably cold once the sun goes down. Maybe later in the season.

Joel

edit: yes, I'm a wimp.

My plan for Friday night is to head to the track if I get into town early enough (I won't be leaving Denver until late afternoon) to sit in for at least some of the comp. school session.

Not sure about dinner on Saturday - it's hard to say if I'll want to stay at the track as long as possible on the first day after the off-season, or get out of there as quickly as possible! If nothing else, let's all touch base during the day about our plans so that we can at least see about meeting up later for drinks & bench racing. And Dave P. is right...there will DEFINITELY be a better selection of drinks in town than there will be at at the track!

BTW- in looking at the expenses for the weekend, it doesn't make sense to bring the dually and trailer down this weekend. So I'll be slumming it with everybody else and working out of my Z for the weekend. I plan to bring along my small toolbox and the usual supplies. But I'm not planning on bringing a jack or jackstands if I can borrow one now and then. Anything else I can bring that would help out anybody out?

LOL! I've still got the Z...I'm just (likely) done driving it at the track.

Thanks for all of the info, guys. Sorry I haven't posted: been sick as a dog since Tuesday. I'm going to have to run the stock Brembo pads this weekend. I'll take a look at some other options before the next track day. Got my tech inspection done at MAC Autosports today. I'm just hoping that I'm healthy enough to get down there on Saturday (well that and the whole "wait list" thang... ).

Greg- Glad you're feeling better. Hope to see you down at the track on Saturday. We'll try to save a space for you on 'Z row'.

I am still going to drive down to Pueblo Friday, leaving the Springs about noonish, getting there about 1330. We had a good bit of snow in the Springs last night (probably 4 inches) but it's all melting. Weather in Pueblo looks to be raining right now, but it should be clearing up (I hope)

Hope to see you all down there, and David M is right, Z row will be ready!

Thanks for the weather report Dave. We didn't get anything here in Denver, so I'll probably wait a bit longer this afternoon to drive down. I just had the R-compounds mounted on the fronts (BBS front, Enkei rears) for this weekend, so rain/snow would not be ideal...

Feel free to give me a call on my cell (303-304-4025) if you want to get together for dinner tonight.

It's Friday evening and this was one strange trip down south. Cloudy and cool leaving Denver, but it looked like I-25 had just dried. Started to get a bit stormy over Monument Hill and it actually snowed a few flakes on the south side! That quickly turned to light rain and then it was dry again through C.S. I was happy to see that the construction through town wrapped up and those ridiculous 45 MPH zones were gone. Uneventful drive through to Pueblo except that the sun came out for a brief visit! The Z averaged 31.3 MPG at 65-85 MPH and looks to be in great shape for tomorrow.

David, Dave, Joel, Gary: thanks for showing me the ropes at NASA -- I had a blast!

A few people made comments that I believe describe the track experience very well:

1) Its the most fun you can have with your pants on! (Bill of MAC Autosports)

2) It's like crack (a description used by at least half a dozen people over the last three days)

Very, very cool!

I think I left Pueblo about an hour and a half after you guys. Hit some moderate rain south of Colorado Springs that turned to light snow @ 28 degrees over Monument Pass. No slick spots on the road, but the temp was low enough to keep me @ 55MPH until Castlerock -- where the temp jumped back up to nearly 40. Denver was 45 degrees and dry when I got here...contrary to the scary weather reports that I checked right before I left the track.

It was great to meet some of you for the first time, and to see the rest of you again.

May in Pueblo, June in Utah?!

May in Pueblo, and June in utah. Check the NASA-RM forums for the dates after that, since I haven't kept up with those dates, since I will be leaving.

Some suggestions I had from some people for my engine/oil issues were a new PCV valve, and a PCV valve made for boost. I'll try those, as well as do (or get done) a full leakdown and compression test.

Congrats to Sean for making this event. It sounds like we might have a new convert! That super black NISMO Z looked right at home on the track...

Oh, and yes, I did mean to say it was great seeing you Sean, and seeing a NISMO Z being used for what it was intended for, track time! Glad to see another VQ35 owner getting the track addiction.

Dave- Trying a different PCV can't hurt. A leakdown and compression test is a must. You're approaching this the right way- slow and methodical assessment of the problem.
