SpeedVentures at Buttonwillow April 15th, 2005!
Our next event is Buttonwillow Raceway; April 15th, 2005
Price: $160 one day ( + $30 instructor fee required for first-timers)
Duration: 1 day 2.5 hours of track time per group!**
Track: Buttonwillow Raceway (near Bakersfield)
Registration is open: http://www.speedventures.net/event_forms.asp
Timing: Transponders are available for rental for this event
Event Info:
At 3 miles, Buttonwillow is the longest and most technical track in the Los
Angeles area. With twenty-three turns, three elevation changes, the banked
"Riverside" sweeper, and a perfect drift over "Lost Hill" (AKA "Magic
Mountain"), Buttonwillow offers both a unique learning environment, and a
challenge to advanced drivers.
We will be running #13 CCW as highlighted in yellow below. This track is
suitable for street cars, though we suggest that the Riverside turn should
be approached at conservative speeds of 70-80 mph in cars without race
rollover protection. The remainder of the turns on this track are
moderate-speed (35 - 70mph). Most Turns have wide runoff areas, clear of
major obstacles.
There will be 3 run groups at this event with limited registration to keep
traffic light. click here for the schedule.

This is a great deal at an excellent track. If you're interested, please see
this page for registration.
**Note - Details of this event are subject to change. Event will run rain or
shine.

I'll probably be making it to this event rather than the HPDE event on April 9-10. Yes, configuration 14 is probably the best. I ran configuration #25 CW, which is close with the addition of the Star Mazda Turn.
Who else is planning on making it out there?
