Breaking News -- Perpindicular landing gear ( Pilot's Chime In )

Anyone catching the news where the Jet Blue plane is bracing for a rough landing. The front nose landing gear is not facing forward it is facing to the side ( twisted 90% ) with around 139 passengers on board. The jet is now trying to burn fuel to prepare for the landing....I hope they land safely or the outcome can be bad......

I just talked to my brother ( LAPD Airport Police ) at LAX and they think if it lands like that it could be bad or the Airplane may taxi right of the runway and not stop in time. They however have not decided to land at LAX yet.....Any pilots in here can chime in??

That pilot should get a medal and a pay raise. Can't get a more perfect landing than that.

Thank god it was a smooth safe landing. The pilot really did an excellent job...I suppose any landing you walk away from is an excellent one.

Wow, ABC Air7HD is incredible on my Sony 42A10 HDTV. OMG the widescreen picture was so clear I was afraid that if the plane did flips (anyone remember Sioux City United flight?) it would scare the sh!t outta me or freak me out cuz it felt like I was watching it all unfold flying on a plane next to it.
