Its not going to help without a tune, I am pretty sure teh ecu will just compensate for it and your performance will be relatively the same, if not worse.

It didn't do chit for me. Waste of money without the tune for it.

i did it with 100, and 110 honostly i dont think it did a damn thing, but i hear its good to run a little bit every now and then

I put in some 100 octane (just a few gallons) when my car was pinging...

it helps a little but doesn't unleash more than a couple of horses. Mostly it's a safety thing if you have advanced spark timing.

Won't really help you much.

dude i put in a 100 oct and my car was running soooooo beautifuly, i felt gains

My Experiences:

12 gallons of 91 + 8 gallons of 100 = 7rwhp on the dyno (I went out to Buttonwillow and burned all the gas on the track). The Z felt alot smoother and didn't feel soo rough on acceleration.

1/4 mile time difference, I did the sames times with 91 octane and mixed gas. Therefore, I don't see any straight line differences.

I put in 100 octane a few times. I couldn't really tell the difference
except for the fact that it revved smoother.
One thing I could definitely tell was that IT BURNS HELLA FASTER.

Never put in a higher octane than your car needs. You are just wasting money. Gasoline does not add hp. It only helps with combustion issues. Anyone making claims that they made more hp stock with it is lying.

It revs smoother, but the whole point is higher octane gas burns slower which helps prevent detonation. Not faster.

nevermind

Right on the money. octane level is to decrease ping/knock level. You can't just use 100 and hope it's a hp liquid.

I'll have to admit the same, I tried, but didn't really notice much of a difference. The Zs are just not like my old evo, in that car 100 octane made the WORLD of difference...

100 octane will do absolutely nothing for a normally aspirated vehicle designed and built to run on 91 octane california fuel, which every new vehicle is designed for. The built in timing and ignition maps are based on pump premium and putting 100 octane isn't going to magically create more power.
