For the Night Owls on Friday nights who don't have anything to do.
 

Hey guys, some may know me but most probably don't. It's probably cuz I'm not a Z owner but it's all good because I'm a Z fan. Anyhow I hope everyone is doing well. The reason I am posting this is because I was wondering for those who are night owls, if they would like to come out to Starbucks out in Torrance off of Crenshaw from 9:00p.m. to 3:00a.m. It started off as a weekly Supra meet however other cars enthusiasts decided to come by and join in. This event happens on every Friday of each week. Basically it's people checking out other peoples cars while discussing about cars. Now I know some of you may worry about the "ricers" or what not but I attended for the first time last week. It was very different from the ones I used to attend here in the valley. (Where always one jacka$$ ruins it for everyone). I can't promise that you'll have a good time, but if you happened to be bored and would like to check it out, come on by~! Even the cops don't hassle people there. In fact they joke around with the people there. It was way too wierd but very cool. SizongZ went last week, but he was the only Z there. Here are the majority of cars that attended. Supras, RX-7's, WRX (STI), Lancer Evolutions, SCION, R34 Skyline, MR-2, a lot other Turbo-charged vehicles. There were no hondas (thank god).

Come on by, grab some coffee from starbucks, (or food from in n out which is on the corner), eat and drink away and just have a good time.

Is it going on tonight? Girlfriend is stuck out of town, so I'm free. I figure I would get in less trouble at a car meet then at a club:D

Damn, I gotta move to SoCal, 'cuz I am a night owl by definition. There are no late night meetings in the BA, at least that I know about, and I REALLY don't know about any Starbucks that are open past 11pm. Trust me, there have been many occasions when I needed some good java late at night. :D

I moved from the Bay Area about 5 years ago....I'll never go back!

Get off Crenshaw
Make right off exit
Drive for about 1.5-2 miles and it's on your right side
You'll see In N Out and a shopping plaza with starbucks.


405 north get off same exit
Make left and same directions.

just got back.

there were a lot of cars out tonite.

There were a bunch of Wrx and wrx sti, evo8, scion club, 240sx club, celica club, supras, one skyline r34, mr2.

It was an interesting nite. I think the 350z should make a showing.

I did see trust there but did not get a chance to say sup.

Was the GTR gunmetal in color with work wheels and xs engineering plate frame? if it was, that's my friend kim's car. nice guy.

btw...the TPD cops aren't that cool (i personally hate them from personal experience over the years including being pulled over for stock 3" exhaust tip on my bone stock supra)...we overheard them talking about their means and methods while in line at starbucks a couple of months ago: older cop tells younger cops that the cars outside leave in small groups to race so they'll follow any group then pull them over and give them racing (if caught), exhibition of speed and fixit tickets cuz they know it will be really expensive to return the car to stock for inspection.

I used to show up awhile ago but the same cars would usually show up every friday so I just stopped going...I was like the only Z that showed up back then. I probably won't be able to go anyways for a few months though since my Z is temporarily out of commission. But yeah I agree more VQ's should go and represent. :)
