Royal Purple's “The Forum Wars” is giving real members of real online car communities the opportunity to go head to head with rival counterparts in the ultimate racing challenge. Each video battle will be broadcast on SPEED and all over the web.

Official drag race. Slalom. Solo road race course. Three events. One winner.

If you have the car, experience on the track, and the eggs to bring it in front of a huge TV/Web audience then Royal Purple WANTS YOU!

If you….

- Own a 350Z (street legal, DOT approved tires, current registration and insurance)

- Have track experience

- Live in L.A or surrounding counties – or willing to drive

- Are available 11/13/09 for the whole day

- Come fully trash talk equipped and ready to be on camera

is it a quarter mile? and how heavily modded are the cars? i bet whoever is drivin that mustang GT the cars gonna have a supercharger for sure lol is it going to be live on TV? if it is what channel?

Yes, this is completely legit. We have a Mustang Shelby GT lined up (not GT500). 317 HP at the crank. 3500+ lbs curb weight. Looking for a stock or lightly modded 350Z.

We are shooting 10 different match-ups, a few of which also include:

*Corvette ZR1 vs Viper ACR
*Nissan GT-R vs Porsche 997 TT
*2010 SS Camaro vs SRT8 Challenger
*2008 M3 vs MB C63


We will be shooting at Irwindale Speedway. 1/8 mile Drag - not a 1/4 but also means drivers can't bank on their cars to save them from a poor start. Custom road course for the show and slalom.

Ultimately it's a fun day at the track, a chance watch some great cars go head to head, and an opportunity to show up a Mustang GT.

what does lightly modded mean?

Turreto vs Johnny Tran? hahahaa... "i live my life a quarter mile at a time..." hahahaa.

Upgraded suspension, brakes, performance exhaust etc minimal or no horsepower gains.

The Z already has the weight advantage.

This isn't a straight up comparison of cars. It's as much about the driver and the ability to bring it on camera as anything else.

We need a firm commitment asap. Who's game?

No catch. It is what is. You come out for the day with your 350z. Have fun, get free track time, talk a little trash on the Mustang, show of your driving skills and represent your car, community and self.

Royal Purple will be giving out some swag. Lunch and refreshments will provided all day. It's not open to the public (we have to protect the results until airing in the new year), but you can bring along a buddy.
