December 15th- Willow Springs Big Track - Hosted by K.R.O.P.S (Keep Racing Off Public Streets)

This is going to be K.R.O.P.S second track day that they have hosted the first one was a few months ago a SOW and went off without a hitch. They are a group of young guys that want to spread the word that racing on the streets is extremely stupid and dangerous. They are more known for the monthly Karting events that they host at K1 Speed and Adams Motorsports Park but they are trying to expand to bigger and better tracks and events.

You can check out their site for more info.

R6 from Hoosier is good for about 1 full day if your lucky. F that, then if you have gone thru a few sets of street tires (RS3, NT05 ) on the track, then i suggest R comps like an NT01

No, dont have dedicated rims. But its a second car, so i dont worry about wear, i have the bridgestones re-11, they slid some, but i didnt lower the psi enough, realized it in the second run, but didnt get a chance to try it with the correct psi.

RE-11's are still perfectly good tires for the track and should have pretty similar times at the track. IIRC they have better feel than the RS3's but for outright grip its hard to beat the RS3's and how relatively cheap they are compared to those others you listed.

I know Time Trial guys that get 25-30 heat cycles on R6's. You can go a whole weekend on a set of A6's....as long as you don't over-drive like an A-hole, you'll be fine.

So today was interesting. Morning was sunny, rain came around 3pm on and off...mud all over the track.

EVO IX crashed into the wall
MS3 and AE86 crashed into each other, MS3 probably 5-8k in damage, AE86 totaled. EK hatch blew its motor, Crawford BRZ ran sub 2 min etc etc etc.

Overall a fun day as always, two Zs placed in RLTA, 350z and 370z.

Good chance ill be out there, but in the street class with Eric T. I think you should be able to do pretty well, but you still need to come out and play at streets on Dec 29 for the Z/G challenge finals.

Yea same here I have not gone over the rules completely yet. I also have never ran Big Willow, Buttonwillow 13CW or Chuckwalla so it will be interesting.

Have you ever ran one of these events? I'm curious as to how much practice time you actually get before you have to put down a real qualifying time.
