Default 350Z Socal Overhaul Assistance

I am a Marine in Afghanistan. I am coming home in about 20 days and have a lot of good parts waiting for me and my Z (2007 6MT). I am pretty mechanically inclined, done all my own work to my truck, streetbike, dirtbikes and ATV's but never owned a sports car before as I am from MA. Wondering if anyone with 350Z experience in the San Diego area wants to help out with a JWT Clutch and flywheel install. I have a ZEX nitrous kit as well and a maybe a Quaife LSD:-). I have access to a lift on base or if you have the proper area and tools where you are that would work to. All the beer and pizza is on me. Appreciate any help and looking to meet fellow Z owners in my area for meets and track days.

haha thanks man. Did not expect much of a response but I was super tired and looking over the list of things to do to my Z and wanted to see if anyone local wanted to help out. There are lots of tuners on base but to be honest I wanna be around civilians for awhile lol

I could help a bit on the clutch and flywheel install. A friend and myself did the same kit on my 2006 G35 but....for the most technical points it was him doing the work since he did it a few times. I have all the instructions and several DIY guides for the install on my computer so we should be able to figure it out lol

I can help you wih the clutch, flywheel, and nos. The LSD however should be left to a good shop as it can't be done on base due to the fact that things have to be pressed on and none of the people that work at the auto shop are competent as they don't allow you to operate the press.

viceversa & jwttz thanks fort the reply guys. I will be back in 8 days will spend a few days with the family then I am going to be taking on the nitrous as the used JWT clutch deal appears to have fell thru. I am just going to purchase a new one in a few weeks. I agree on the LSD I was thinking about doing most of the labor myself and just taking the empty pumpkin and new LSD to a shop. Know any decent ones is SD?

jc21 thanks for asking but I am not. I have a JWT popcharger at the moment, and the ZEX kit I bought came with the nozzles already installed into stillen intakes. So I will be swapping over to those and selling the popcharger.

Corner 3 Garage in Lake Forest is where I would recommend. They do great work. It's not to far a drive from the Basilon gate. Maybe like 45 min from Oceanside.

SemperZ, I'm outta Miramar also. I use to take my Z to Tim at Speed Force Racing in Santee. PM me if you want his details. He is a great guy and very military friendly.
