** Minneapolis and St Paul Z's and G's Spring cruise APRIL 24TH**
 

That's right! With the snow melting, we can only hope that it's not long before we can bring out our cars for some spirited driving again! I've seen new members posting, and I know that people have got new toys to show off.

Alex has been gracious to start the meet and cruise at his house. I don't think we're planning on eating there, so it's just a place to stage our cars.

My car is ready to go unless I do something at the last minute that would keep me from taking the Z out.

Let's keep all the talk and comments about the Spring meet and cruise in here. Spread the word! Link people if you have to, but I want to keep bumping this thread for the Spring event!

Typically, we've been having the Spring meets on the last couple of weekends of April to play it safe. Should we continue the tradition? If so, let's discuss the dates and see if we can organize a huge showing!

I say April 24th

Check your Farmer's Almanac and tell me what it says for that date. lol

Plan A: April 4th or April 10th (Sunday or Saturday)

Plan B: April 24th (Saturday)

Easter is somewhere in there. If some people can't do it then, at least we have options. I don't think a month will be enough time for the roads to get rid of all the water, ice, and gravel/sand.

Alex was thinking of driving to Stillwater for lunch, so maybe we can start driving at 11am? Or a little after if you're still sleeping. Then we can come back into the city and end at someone's house for grilling, food, drinks, pics, etc.

when we get weather over 50 during the day and nights above freezing my car is coming out. All we need is one decent rain after the majority of the snow is gone and the roads will be clean enough

I thought we had snow or flurries a few years ago? Was that early or late April.

Also, not that the world revolves around me but I am out of town on the weekend of the 10th. What ever you guys decide I will go if it's not snowing or storming out and I am in town.

I can't do it on the 3rd because my MIL is coming into town that day. That's why I suggested the Sunday or the following weekend before she leaves.

Aaron, if we get that kind of consistent weather in a month, I'm going to be outside jumping for joy.

I want as many people on this as possible. As usual, invite your friends that might not have a Z. We always have a blast anyway.

I hear ya. We just need to watch the forecasts and plan accordingly. C&C usually gets rolling in April, so if nothing else, I will be going to that if I can. Definitely don't plan around me, but earlier in the month works better for me. Come the end of March my schedule doesn't allow me to plan things

I read somewhere today that they are planning a C&C for April. I'll be missing that one, dammit.

So what about the actual event planned for the day? What are ideas that you guys have? I'd love to do a timed rally with checkpoints, but I don't know how to set that up. We probably need to hook up with other car enthusiasts and do something like that.

All I know is that I'm not coming within 20 car links of anyone on back roads. Plan on spending the money I would have spent repainting my bumper on a bunch of dildo shifter knobs or somthing :icon38:

If i take it out earlier I put it away earlier (insurance)
