Won't shift out of 1'st. Help!!!!!!!!!!
 

I just put in an intake tube w/a pop charger in my Auto trans Z. I wanted really test it out and when I took off from a dead start I put the gas to the floor and then the engine red lined. It wouldn't come out of 1st gear. I stopped and tried to take off regular and it still wouldn't shift. I stopped again and put it in park and then put it in drive, Now it works fine. I haven't tried it again becuz I afraid to pop the engine. But I wanna know what is going on? And how to fix it. Is it the new intake tube?:confused:

vacume tube off? preventing enough vacume to shift...that's my guess

yaa u probably installed the vacuum tube backwards, i did that when i installed my nismo intake on my 04 back in the day, and the car would not go above 10MPH.....try and check that first....switch it from how u have it now...and go back and try again

nOT SURE. I CONNECTED EVERYTHING HOW IT WAS ON THE STOCK INTAKE?

Was this in the shift mode or in Drive mode when you tryed this?
I would try it again and see if you can shift it yourself if not then put the stock intake back on and call the dealer.
