I'm going out to TMS again this Sunday
Gotta take my little sis for a few laps around the track. Just wanted to let everyone know I'd be there in case someone else wants to join up. :D
Planning on being there around 8 til probably 2 or 3. |

I plan to be there...but I will be on my bike. Gotta put on a new rear tire on 1st. Hopefully I will have it on and scrubbed in by Sunday. See you out there. :icon4:

I'm probably not going. Car's still in the freaking shop. Ordering a crap load of parts for my transmission. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Sweet ride
You got to go off-roading on it...cool....bet that was fun!! Sweet ride...i debated on buying one instead of waiting a year to buy the Z. But even though they are sweet, I love my Z.
So what exactly are you doing to your car anyway? |
the old bodystyle (like mine) wasnt offered in a turbo version here in the states... they offered a rather weak 2.5 NA engine here with 165 available hp... well after a bunch of mods i got to 200 but kept breaking stuff in the engine.
Finally got my warranty voided and decided to buy a JDM turbo engine that had a fair amount more hp than even the US variety. That engine is going in late next week... I'll dyno it in its stock trim, then chip it, with intake and downpipe and leave the rear muffler section off for the dyno... I'm taking that rear section off because thats the number I want to know, because thats how I'd race with it at the track... open and loud. I'm aiming for between 260 and 280 crank hp on a car that weighs in at about 2800lbs :) -Kevin |
That is going to be crazy fast as light as the car already is. You gotta let me test drive it ...or at least sit in. Are you doing any mods to the suspension to handle all that power in a corner?

you bet! the car was slated for a full suspension to be installed this past April... well the car was down and the parts came in.
I changed the front suspension out when I changed the the front crossmember. the rear suspension was supposed to go in last weekend, will go in this saturday. KYB AGX 4 way adj. in the front, 8 way in the rear STi V5 springs (doesnt mean much to the Z guys, but their good) Cusco Front Camber Plates Cusco strut tower bars All thats left is to decide on which rear bar to get. I have upgraded brakes, but I need to put new pads in. Also installing JDM lightweight front and rear bumper supports sometime before I weigh the car. I'll pretty much have a whole new car when it comes back to life... I havent driven it in over 4 months! :icon9: -Kevin |
