I finally bought a floor jack today, got so tired of using the scissor jack. I was just gonna get some cheap one, but when I went to pick up the box I couldn't even move it off the shelf and directed my gaze towards an aluminum one. It's not light by any means, but I can at least carry it around without too much trouble. With as tight as it can be in my garage, I needed something I could maneuver easily and not worry about dinging any cars.

I haven't found one I really like yet because I want it to be low profile for the Z, and be able to go high enough for the Truck. So I'm looking for one I like with enough weight, height, and extension for both vehicles.
Anyone have any good suggestions ?

I got this one because I wanted something light.

If it fails like some of the reviews have said, I will probably return it and buy the $40 one. If I have to replace something I'd rather pay alot less money for it. As for now, I will just see how it goes. I wonder if the failures are due to bad maintenance.

Hmmm,....I was going to get one also. I was just looking at them last night on line. Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, Lowes, Sears....etc.

Ya, I prefer the driveway though, and the garage was full at the time. The wax is synthetic and works fine in the sun, and I use plenty of water with the clay. It works out, just gotta keep the paint cool. Normally I pull into the garage to dry and wax, but it was nice out today.

Hope to see you at the next meet.
Anyone use the new Mother's 123 step clay bar & wax system ? I saw it in one of the newer Auto mags at the Doc's office.

Welcome texas_z. Congrats on the new Z. I'm next door in Frisco. Definitely try to go to one of the meets. I haven't been to one yet, but I hear they are fun. I'm going to try to make one soon.
