First off let me say DFW FTW.
I used to have a room mate in college that lived in flower mound (I used to go to A&M Galveston) Anyway he used to work at a second run movie theater. After it closed we would all sneak back in drink 40s and watch Rounders or whatever was playing. Good times Good times. I really miss TX.
Anyway, I just had a question for this crew. The Mid Atlantic has its own "lounge" thread. The problem is the Mid A has drama running rampant. I was cruising around the other threads and trying to see if other regions have the same problem or is it just us. I mean you can start a nuclear war just by posting I love Function:Tuned more than AAM. I dunno, do you guys get a lot of BS in this or other threads or are we just full of Fail...?
Thanks for reading guys. Sorry if this post bothered anyone. Just trying to do some research.

I can't speak for everyone in here, but it is fairly tame compared to what goes on in other areas of the forum. I haven't been posting in DFW lounge very long, but I read from the beginning to catch up, and there are no dogpiles or outright juvenile behavior in here. Haven't read any fights, name-calling, etc. Just a good bunch of people that like to talk and have a good time, IMO. Only met one of the guys on here and that was a good experience.
This community seems to mesh well with one another.......

Drama is for the birds... If there is any issues...we usually keep it in PM style to keep all the BS out the lounge...

Jgrizzle, your frustration is understandable. Your region seems to have a lot of hard headed people with egos bigger than the moon and more loyalty to a particular shop than the Queen of England has. You guys are much more outspoken and don't really seem to back down.
However, on the positive side, you guys seem to be more close with one another and do a lot more things together (especially motorsports and just plain gatherings), which understandably causes tensions between select groups.
During our last moderator sign up, yobri and I thought about placing a moderator there to handle things, but I feared that he would be biased and would favor one particular side over the other. We ended up having to put a moderator of a sort who was more neutral but he mainly handles other areas and isn't active at all now, it seems.

I like that you guys (mods) give us some freedom and for the most part people fix stuff themselves. Also, I can see the loyalty issue with these guys. Tens of thousands of dollars starts to become a touchy subject. I mean im ultra loyal to my shop even though he just installs my sway bars and changes my girlfriends oil. (funny to see a toyota corolla on a lift next to a 6XXwhp Z and a twin turbo G37. kind of hard to look manly standing next to your car)
For the most part I just wanted to see if this was a forum thing or more specific just to us. Either way ive gotten tons of info, met some great people and found some good people to work on my car. Overall win for this site.
Thanks for taking the time to write some stuff guys.

Jgrizzle,
I noticed your location is "Bodymore, Murderland". This is ironic because just today a guy at work was talking about a detail he did while in the Army in Baltimore. He was assigned to locate a body out in the water and while they were searching it washed up.
Random I know, but I thought it was ironic so I thought I'd share.
