So I picked up my Z yesterday at about 5:30pm and it was sitting right there in the service bay all nice and clean. Then just as I was done getting all my paper work, it just started to rain.

So I have to leave there and get the car all wet and dirty. I should have just waited until today to pick it up. Maybe the rain would have a break so I could get it to the garage before it started up again.

But the total was like 1,200.00 dollars for everything.....I am so glad I have that warranty ! Pheeww !

All nice and clean from the dealer?..

I hope the dealer didn't clean your car...cause that's not what I would call a clean car..hopefully you didn't let them clean the vehicle rather than just letting them fix what was wrong.

Glad you got the car fixed and didn't have to pay a dime!

Besides not having to wait in line to renew your license, another good aspect of renewing online is that they keep your same picture. I think my picture is about 8 years younger than I am now. It's kind of nice.

Well they just give it a courtesy wash so that it looks better than how you brought it in.

@ firekrave ; my car was stuttering while accelerating and almost dying during idle.

Better from far away probably. They put t through the drive through machine. And if they even attempt to dry it. It's with used rags. Just tell thembot to wash it next time. They're really doing more harm than good by puttin in a million more swirls. Black is toughas is already.

Just trying to look out for ya. Ya you problem not as OCD but to professionally get rid of the swirls cost anywhere from 250-500. Let's hope the drive in machine they have doesn't have rails that attaches to your wheelas well to guide. They can ruin tem Volks too enough of my what it sounds like venting lol

Thanks Q,

I guess I don't really mind right now because it already has some bad swirl marks.

What I need to have done is a good Clay bar and wax job...wanna make some money ? I'd rather pay a person I know than a stranger.

Towards the car wash thing. Oddly I was in a hurry one day and went to a Valero w/ a touchless wash. It did a really good job and the 10.5" in the rear went through fine.

I do know that the swirl marks on my car came from Bankston Nissan. That annoyed me so much. Then again, some nano wax and it's better now. Can't worry about that too much. It's a black car and I drive through construction on 114 every morning. Swirl marks are the least of my worries.

Swirls aren't from driving throuch constructions, it's from how you wash it and where you wash it basically.

And for the drive through car wash..I'd rather not take the risk of the rails bending/scratching/cracking my wheels..sure you might of gotten lucky that time but do you really want to risk it?

Chris there are a few local dfw guys that are really good professional mobile detailers. I can get you there contact info if you want.

One of them includes Mackie (ZSpectrum) who's here on the forum.
