UpRev is a Austin-based company that does reflash tunes for your stock ECU. Both Eric and Jake have a tune from UpRev. Eric's Z got a tune back when it was still owned by golfinZ. Jake just recently got his e-tune via e-mail after purchasing some items from Chef-J.

So is this the same as the Cobb Tuner ?
I thought if you reflashed your ECU....you basically just reset back to all default setting from facxtory ?

UpRev takes a list if your mods and creates a tune (air/fuel, maybe timing, etc). They use their ECU piggyback tool to load that map into you ECU. Not as detailed as a custom tune on the dyno, but effective nonetheless.
Jake and I have similar, if not the same, tunes. I think our peak HP numbers were less than 1 apart.

The COBB tuner is actually a better tune. I was noticing that with the UpRev tunes, the power band is scrunched up, and fell off at the end(last 500 or so revs). Personally, that is a disappointment.

I don't know what Cobb Tuner is but if it's a customized reflash service similar to Technosquare and UpRev, then yes. They all differ in the process and the items/products/service used, though.
You're getting reflash and reset confused, Chris. Reflash means that you're overwriting certain parameters with a customized one (which can also refer to a stock/factory tune). Usually, when describing performance oriented changes, a "reflash" refers to a custom tune that overwrites the stock tune on the ECU.
You can think of reFLASH as an overwrite (with either a custom tune or a stock/factory tune). Conversely, a reSET of your ECU will be to revert back to the original stock/factory tune.
Hope this helps.
Stephen, the last 500 rpm dropping power is due to the stock cams of the DE engines, not UpRev's tune. Additionally, unlike Cobb and Technosquare, UpRev's Osiris has proven to be able to handle FI applications using the stock ECU. Of all the "reflash" options that are available, UpRev is the most popular for a reason.

Chris,
Thanks for the schooling on the Reflashing vs. Reset of ECU....I never really put the 2 together to see the differences in it.
Now I can see what the UpRev, Technosquare, & Cobb can do to help the engines performance.
Can they / or do they over rid the Rev-Limiter as well ?
Although I was under the impression that Natural Aspirated systems don't gain much in the HP, but from what Jake & Eric say it has some effect after all.
