Yeah and I snapped one when I was torquing them down even though I was on a lower setting than what they should be torqued at. After that I just hand tightened each to be safe. I get to take it all apart again though to do the iso-thermal gasket some other time.

+1, its inch pounds not ft lbs. inch lbs is pretty rare for a torque wrench.

I just divided by 12 so I was at 8 ft-lbs. Needless to say that's the last bolt my torque wrench will be seeing for the install. Maybe I hit the torque right as I completed a twist so I didn't notice it click. Now I have to find a way to get the damn thing out of there and what to do with the hole.

I dont know STU.. I dont even have a suggestion considering you are running today.. theres removal kits but they are for bigger bolts.. plus depending on which one it is - you have to take stuff apart.. Im hoping someone else will chime in regarding your situation.. but I have to ask - is your car running fine?

It seems to be running just fine. I did all the various resets, too, so maybe that helped. I can deal with the bolt after the track tomorrow.

At DFW seeing my daughter off to Las Vegas for a family wedding. She missed her flight last night, so we had to show up early to see what flight she could get on.
I hate traveling or taking people to the airport during the Holidays.

I thought the spacer install was easy and straight forward. A little pita and tedious but nothing too bad if u just have a print out of the directions.

Spacer itself is really easy, but the iso thermal gasket requires alot more work. If I had decided to skip the iso thermal due to time restraints, it would have been much easier. I never got the upper plenum fully unhooked so I just stopped at the spacer. Probably should have two people to really do this. One person to hold it up while the other loosens the hoses at the back.

Ya I did the iso thermal gasket too. Wasn't really any much more then the plenum spacer IMO. I just took the whole thing apart rather then having someone holding anything. I unhooked the hoses and pulled the whole cover off.
