Yeah, we'll have to try again soon, hopefully w/ more notice, better weather, and maybe a little drive to get to our destination? I've led weeknight drives to Elgin for BBQ before. Pretty cool b/c you can get in some backroad twisties away from traffic, but it's still pretty close.

derek and i were thinking somehting like an anti-valentine's day trip.

not this sat, but next sat (that way all you foo's have ample notice) which would be v-tines day. we could do a sat. night thing. that way, you can spend time with those you truly love. i mean really, our cars may have their quirks, but for the most part, they do what we tell them too, make us feel good and are cheaper than dates :D

I already have plans for a romantic Valentine's Day drive w/ my g/f, but anybody who's interested is welcome to join us. Meet @ my house Sat. morning, and we'll do an ~160 mi +/- drive to Reliant Stadium for the Houston SX. We're getting there early so we have plenty of time to wander the pits (it's quite a circus!), watch practice, and hopefully sneak onto the track to walk it like we did last year.

I had a good time last night as well. I was glad to see some new faces and some old, not that I am call you jeff and chris old :)

It does make me yearn for the days of old when we had more folks from the Z and S2K group show up.

Maybe more notice will help.

I don't know what car I will have on Sat 14th, but maybe if I am in a beater someone can give me a ride :)

i think it would be really cool if we could all meet up.

i really long for the days of old where austin was a great place to meet up with some really cool people and talk about cars (and bikes)
it seems that lately people have been too lazy, or too scared to meet up and chat.
i'm not talking racing, i'm not talking "my car's better than yours" (i honestly don't see any of these ppl doing that)

i just think it would be nice to meet new ppl and reunite with the old. :)

I'd enjoy meeting Austin Z folks as well (already been to a cap Z meeting) but have plans tonight. I'll keep an eye on this forum for meets.
