Default EU problems on a REVUP

Hey guys,

I bought a EU system with the autosport harness from a member here on the board. the wiring was done by Sharif and I must say it looks very good.

I installed it and ran the datalog and honestly it sucks. For some reason it retards timing a lot, and I can't get it to work correctly. My car feels very slow.

Any advice?

Is the wiring the same on the 03-05 as the 06 revup?

The items that are wired on the EU, should be the same on the rev up motor. Injectors, ignition, etc..etc..

Maybe the parameter settings or the tune is not setup properly? How badly does it run?

Well at first I had big drops in engine rpm, timing, & airflow on the data logger after 6k rpm. It felt very sluggish, and I didnt know what type of knock control to use.

Everything was at 0 but I felt it pull timing with the stock map. Would you happen to have a base map I can run N/A? How about the parameter settings? What are they supposed to be exactly? I entered the engine code and left them at that. I didn't change anything.

Plus I heard slight pinging at some moments. It ony happened when my foot was off the accelerator and then I pressed the gas pedal down 10%. It was definitely pinging with the EU on there, when I took the EU off, it didnt ping.

Speaking of parameters...

Sharif, do you know what parameter or setting to use for "sensor type" under air intake temp sensor and coolant temp sensor?

I searched the forums and I'm 99% sure it hasn't been posted.

wired: Sensor type for intake is Nissan, and same thing for coolant temp. I think they abbreviate it to Nis or something very easy.

Supra, those drops in RPM and usually some noise. I have seen that a few times before on the 350Z, and was never able to determine what it was. It doesnt appear as power loss on the dyno.

There is nothing special on the parameters, just choose VQ35de, nis intake sensor, nis water sensor and change the units to psi.

Where is your timming running in the logger?

it's a shame, because you are taking out a really good system, just out-marketed by others.
