OMFG do you think I'm a little RICH????

That's right, it's actually going OFF THE CHART RICH. (that is, off the chart for factory widebands...aftermarket wideband should be able to read AFR below 11) If anyone was wondering, this is what the Emanage Ultimate does when you set all maps to ZERO. This might explain my rough idle, weird startup, and the car generally feeling like sh1t. The EU definitely needs to get tuned. Looks like I'll be taking it to a pro. I'm gonna need a dyno and some help to sort this all out. CHART LEGEND: Left axis = AFR Right Axis = Timing (BTDC) or INJ. PULSE (ms) |
Lol, When I saw the title I thought you meant you had a lot of money.

YESS!!!! It looks like I may have found a nice solution :D
available at mohd parts http://www.mohdparts.com/emanage/#E-...tional%20Parts Don't mind me, I like frolicking around in my own thread :joshers: :joshers: :joshers: |
OK, what is it?

So tell me.. You have to buy parts for the EU so you dont go rich?? There isn't any way to adjust it?? |
The part is only $20.
I don't think you need it, because you can just tune out the extra fuel. I bought it anyway though. But it complicates things for sure if you don't do the injector harness mod. |
You dont want to tune yourself??

I still might give the AFR a shot. But right now it's all over the place... it's going to be too hard to tune idle, partial throttle, and WOT all on city streets using cipher. If I can get on a dyno it will be much easier. I would try tuning myself on the dyno, but frankly I think it will be cheaper to have a pro do it because I will be taking my sweet time, whereas a pro will do it quickly. |
i wish i was rich...then i could have somebody else tune my car, or buy my own dyno :)
so how is the tuning going? i thought you had a playground to run in...i have to drive 15 miles just to get to the freeway. even then i have to dodge cars to get to my high load sites....really not a good way to tune. :icon38: |

I know dick about the EU so I dont have any idea about self tuning.. |

I fixed the weird coolant temp problem. Apparently EU likes to add voltage to coolant temp wire, which deflates the temperature reading and causes check engine light to come on. (more seriously, it causes radiator fans not to come on) Solution: cutting the coolant temp wire to EU. It's not a required input, and it doesn't work properly, at least not with this software revision. |
i see, can you pull over and look at your logs, then go back and play?
that would be nice without being noticed...pulling over on the side of the freeway with a tuner in hand would not look all that cool to a cop :icon38: hmmm, just checking my email officer :) |
LOL I can definitely do the pull over and check style of tuning.
The only problem is, the cipher program isn't that great for looking at data in detail. I have to export the data to EXCEL and make charts to view the data in a detailed chart form, otherwise its useless. It's going to be painful to make a chart everytime I do a WOT run. So... it's going to be much better if I have a dyno... |
I thought this was another thread about that gay link at the top of every page

Yeah, I didnt drill down that far, just saw it on the main page :D
You are gonna blow up your car with all your tests, just get a reflash and be done with it! |
