greddy Emanagement/UTEC/Apexi A/F controller bahhh help me
alright so im looking into some engine tuning atfer reading how much of a gain i can obtain just by tuning
theres quiet a few questions i have about everything, first ill start with UTEC where can i get one? whats required to install it? how hard is it to tune? im an IT major so ive been around computers and ive got a certification in cisco so using hyperterminal to program routers is second nature to me so i dont think it could be much harder also what about the Greddy e management system, found here http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=4611 dosent seem to bad for about 600-ish bucks or should i just got with something simple like an apexi AF controller to give a little tune for my bolt on's http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/...572.147.19.158 i dont plan on going forced induction so what would be my best option, something easy to install and something i can set up an run good with in an afternoon |
jeez no reply's an 19 views?

the general census is if you dont plan on boosting then a re-flash would be optimal.
if you do want control over your tune then a re-flash wouldnt be in your best interest. The Greddy EU is very user friendly but (someone correct me if I'm wrong) wont over ride closed loop. the Utec (for about the same price) can serve the same purpose as the EU but give you more control over the ECU and the tune. if you want to tune yourself or re-tune per mod. Go with the Utec, if not a re-flash should serve you well. |
Unless you are at a shop that can flash your ECU while on the dyno . It is hit and miss in getting the tune right . Find a shop that can tune the Utec or a shop that can flash the ECU .

Yea - What you have to do is use the auxilary output to control an O2 sensor adapter. This controls the O2 sensor feed back feature and will force the system to go in to open loop. In the ON area of the settings, the system will output the 12V signal. This is when the emanage will activate the loop. Rick |
