still in the works!! the weekend of the 4th we wanted to finish it but our parent company had a major project that one of the machinists had to use the CNCs for, way bigger money than we are worth so they won that weekend. brandon is thinking this sunday will be the magic day.

Holy crap it's actually happening. One side will be completely done tonight, the other side halfway done. I'll take a finished one home with me to test fit on the 350 tonight, the intake is already off it. Will get these to the anodizer before the end of the week, assuming they fit perfect. Crossing my fingers.

OK the rails are done.
We will begin accepting orders for them probably tomorrow night after they go through QC and we verify that the wall thicknesses are safe in the new machined areas of the rail. And then one more final test fit. Then they will be branded and anodized.
We have decided on how we are going to price the rails with this new feature, and what we are offering as grandfathering rights to our customers.
1. We will offer the rails with and without the damper ports. Either version, rail kits pricing will stay the same as the total machine work is about the same. That price is $325.00 with bolts and fittings. When purchased in complete fuel systems, there will be no price difference.
2. Those who elect to purchase our rails with the damper ports, will need our damper housings. It is a seperate product at $65 each or $120 for the pair. They will include the O-Ring and Bolts required to fasten and seal them to our rails with damper ports.
3. Those who have our damper housings mentioned above, will need to purchase 07-08 350z HR dampers and brackets (the diamond shape hold-down bracket). We will stock these later in the season, but for the immediate time being we are not going to.
Grandfathering:
1. Orders for rail kits and complete fuel systems that have been pending since we originally ran out of stock of the original rails will not be charged for the damper housings as they didnt even request them or know they were coming. They will have to supply their own Nissan dampers and hold-downs. We would be sending them just non-dampened rails or charging for the damper housings, but we didnt make any non-dampened rails in this batch and we are not going to make these customers continue to wait for their orders to ship.
2. For the duration of this month, and only for the duration of this month... we will offer a $100 rail switchover for customers that have experienced issues related to not having dampers in their fuel system. This means a return of the old rails. These customers will have to purchase the dampers and housings like anyone else, but with a $20 discount on the housings. So total cost to these customers will be $100 (rails) + $100 (housings) + $60+/- (OEM Nissan Parts) + shipping. Total about $275 said and done. While this isnt cheap by any means, it is less expensive then the cost of adding 2 aftermarket dampers, and it will hopefully be much more effective by placing them directly on the rail in the fashion they are found on nissan HR and VHR rails.
Few more things...
1. When pictures are posted, payment method will be included, and thats when we can take orders for it. I dont want to wake up tomorrow with a pile of money in our paypal account for new design parts that havent even hit QC yet.
2. I want people to know that we really did try to integrate the damper housings into the rail as a single part. We did NOT want to have to make a seperate part for it. It was not some elaborate plan to have something else to force people to buy. We didnt look at this issue as a potential new product, we looked at it as a customer service issue. We legitimately tried to make them fit the existing material stock and thats what made the process take so long. It just didnt work out and to change the material stock would have meant changes to our fixtures, a bit more programming, and a lot more machine time per rail, and end result woud have beencausing us to have to charge the same in the end anyway.

^ Great work Charles
I can't wait to put my order in.
Will there be a Core charge for those that don't want down time and rather wait until they install the new style before returning the old rails?
This is more towards MX now that Charles has a solution for putting dampers on the rails, Where did you fit the 3rd Damper?

we had two cars here at the shop one with stock fuel rails and the other with the cjm setup that exhibited the same issues with the lean spot rpm. what we ended up doing was actually tuning it out. it took a little time, but we got it tuned out perfect.

^ The point seems to change slightly based on environmental conditions - might be perfect now, but when fuel is cold vs hot or what I don't know, it will drift. I end up leaving it all a little richer than I would otherwise at rpm points around the lean point. Along with closed loop feedback, it works, but I don't consider it "perfect" (for me).
