Guys, check your Osiris Tuner! We have Torque Management now!

Take a look at the last folder when you open up a file.

cdoxp800 09-14-2010 08:04 PM

So what's it do?

GT-ER 09-14-2010 08:41 PM

I believe it allows you to change how the ECU plays with the Throttle Body to reduce torque. I put all the slots at their highest value and flashed my car. I noticed that the car seems to take off considerably stronger from a stop ( my car is 5AT ) but the manual downshifts are SO VIOLENT that it feels like the tranny going to explode! Needless to say, I put it back to stock...lol.

say what?? anyone with some real knowledge on this care to elaborate?

ajcool2 09-15-2010 08:38 AM

You gonna blow your **** up lol.

Is this for 5AT guys only? Last time I talked with Jared he mentioned something about TQ stuff that only applied to the 5AT.

GT-ER 09-15-2010 03:47 PM

I have no idea if it's only for the 5AT guys. I'm also not sure if it's the Thottle body but rather the timing that gets altered by this setting.

I'll experiment more later.

osiris is becoming so useless to me since i got the haltech. :(

djamps 09-16-2010 06:07 AM

Yea let me know what you can find if you can datalog what's happening.

Knowing Uprev we can add this to the bag of undocumented mystery knobs.

ooh, good find man
gotta ask Rob about this the next time I'm at ZCG.

This may obviate the need for valve body upgrades. The ECU communicates torque calculations to the TCM to regulate line pressure for shifts so this is pretty cool (for all 5AT owners) if UpRev got this to work.

Are you talking about the ETC on/off option in the last folder? I know that it doesn't cut power when you have the brake and gas pressed at the same time to do a burn out.

I don't know about 6mt guys but on the 5at the downshifts in manual mode are hard and I have a transgo vb. I tried it a couple of months ago on my 5at.

I think its good for drag racing the only downside is that you have to reflash your car again to turn it back on.

I think itls what I was talking to you about a couple of months ago. Frank never gave you a copy of your tune to try it on your car since I have tuner.

No, I'm talking about a folder that is called torque management. I have no idea what the ETC does though, care to elaborate since it doesn't say anything in the manual about either of the options?

kartkid 10-17-2010 05:10 AM

I can tell you first hand it works.

I too installed the Trans-Go kit before going FI.

Vince @ R/T Tuning was able to reprogram the trans using the UP-Rev and I think the trans-go kit is not needed.

As I found even with the trans-go their was a lag of approx 600 RPM. from shift input to engagement. and the rev-matching did not work as well especially going into 1st.

And Yes if you set for the aggressive settings it is a neck snapper great for the strip but not the street.

Justs keep on your last map setting.

I'll have to check that out. I think these are new options the ETC I think is electronic throttle control it only gives you on/off option.

I think I have to update my osiris to get the torque management.

djamps 10-17-2010 04:56 PM

Damn makin' me want a 5AT now LOL. I'm still granny shifting my 6MT.
