2007 AKA RALLY, July 16–22 (Salt Lake City - Atlantic City)
2007 AKA RALLY July 16th – 22nd
OK, the time is drawing near…. Time to start planning for the this year's AKA Rally folks… I did the Rally last year and another shorter one in the North East this fall. It is a great time to hang out with fellow car enthusiast. We drive hard and party hard every day…
This is not your Gumball, or Bull Run type of event. This was designed for the common car guy, both in pricing and activities. There are all types of cars here: Audi S4, Mustang, BMW (M3 & M5), EVO, STI, Viper, WRX, 350Z, R34 (Right Hand Drive), Elise, Corvette, Porsche (Cayenne, GT3, GT2, 993,996), 300Z, 3000GT, Jetta, Corrado, and more that I can not remember. Some of these are stock and others are boosted out the wazoo…
This is not a timed event, so there is no prize for getting anywhere first, but of course there are some personal bragging rights for doing so. We tend to try to drive in groups to keep each other entertained and a lot of individual rivalries get played out both on the tracks and on the street Each person can drive however you like or any road you like, as the next waypoint will be provided to each team prior to the day’s start. (It is a lot more fun to hang in groups though.)
You will have the chance to hang with car guys/gals from all over the US and trust me, the parties can get kind of crazy. There is also a Video team that will be making a video of the Rally for advertising, marketing and general resale.
In case anyone is interested, here are the details and the website:
Dates: July 16th – 22nd, 2007
Location: Salt Lake City, UT -> Atlantic City, NJ
Fee: $3,250
Entry Fee includes: Driver & Co-Driver, Hotel room, Entry to events, Parties, and dinners
Does Not Include: Gas & alcohol expenses
Activities: Track time (TBA), Access to 1 National Pro Track Event (TBA), Bonneville Salt Flat’s Run, and various parties along the way…
I know a # of people are expecting to arrive the weekend prior and there is discussion of hitting the Salt Flat’s early to get some extra runs in….
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me or join the AKA Rally boards at www.AKArally.com/board

Yes it is smart @$$.... LOL, j/k Thanks for the correction. I have updated it accordingly.
I am still not sure at to what my status will be for this.. But I understand they already have about 30 people registered/paid. There will be a few Z's this year and a couple of 'special' cars too. Gonna be a blast, trust me.
If you are going, I might suggest trying to be there the Friday/Saturday night before. I think we are going to do some recorded speed runs at the Salt Flats that weekend. Once I get back in country I will start persuing that more.
