Do you address that to this particular kit or to headlight conversion kits in general?

Both, actually. Conversions kits produce glary, unfocused beam patterns, which can be blinding and annoying to oncoming traffic. LED's seem to be far worse even than their HID counterparts, but neither are worthwhile "upgrades". That's not to say uniformed buyers won't flock to these things, just as they have to the 10000-12000K HID bulbs, when 4300-5500K provide far better vision.

While I agree with you, that neither HID nor advanced LED conversion kits are good for regular reflector headlights, what would you say about using them in adjustable projector type lenses?

I don't know anything about "adjustable" projector type lenses. The projectors on my Z aren't adjustable, except for aiming the beam horizontally, but if the light source is in the proper position, you need not adjust for bulb changes. And, that's the problem with conversion kits - the light source is in the wrong position, or it disperses differently than the light is designed for.
