309hp & 257.1 ft. lbs. Intake, Test Pipes, Emanage Blue - Dyno Plots Inside (Dynapac

2 Attachment(s)
Ok, just got out of the dyno room. It's been about 6 hours of playing with the intake, filters and figuring out how to get the Emanage Blue working the way I wanted it.

The mods are pretty simple.
2.5 Inch Proto Test Pipes
Proto Dual Intake w/ K&N Filters
Emanage Blue wired to control fuel only - $100

First set of dyno plots are comparing the last time I had the car on the dyno:
2.5 Inch Test Pipes, Proto Intake -252.9 ft. lbs. & 290.3 hp vs. 2.5 Inch Test Pipes, Proto Intake & Emanage Blue - 257.1 ft. lbs. & 309.2 hp
4.2 ft. lbs. gain and 18.9 hp gain peak!

Second set of dyno plots are comparing the first time I put the car on the dyno with the Test Pipes only:
2.5 Inch Test Pipes - 238.9 ft lbs. & 288.3 hp vs 2.5 Inch Test Pipes, Proto Intake & Emanage Blue - 257.1 ft. lbs. & 309.2 hp
18.2 ft. lbs. gain and 20.9 hp gain peak!

Alright so that is it for now. Next I want to put the 3inch Exhaust back on the car and see what she picks up. I figure I may be lucky to get another 8-10 whp. If I don't pick up much I am going to keep the stock exhaust on the car since I like the way she sound now.

I'll post the install directions for the Emanage so if anyone else wants to give it a shot they can. It's 11:20pm here I need to go pull the car off the dyno and go home for another day at work.

Later,

Jermaine~

I can get my hands on an emanage blue for around $50 and its basically brand new, should i jump on it and try to wire it in? I will be getting my exhaust soon.

309whp? if so thats only 30whp behind what my 04 made on 7-8lbs of boost. *shakes head*

Cux350z 04-23-2008 07:45 PM

^these are dynapac numbers. Youre probably comparing your lower dynojet or extremely low dynodynamics numbers.

what you should focus on here are the gains over stock for your FI setup. I dynoed 220whp on the same dyno before i installed my sc and hit 338whp. 120whp gain is not bad at all in my book.

back on topic

nice gains. Why not go with the utec though? The emanage is old school. I think its only advantage is in the data logging capabilities out of the box.

Scythenc 04-23-2008 07:51 PM

I was about to say. Im getting screwed and should part out and sell the 04 n get an 07+ lol.

The Short we don't have the connectors yet and I didn't want to wire 30+ leads for something as simple as fuel control. @ $100 it was well worth it to me.

nice numbers!

That's crazy!!! sweet numbers... keep us posted on how the dyno will go with exhaust.

good numbers!!!!

Post Dynoject, Mustang, or Dynodynamics... Dynapaks tend to inflate.

cc1012 04-24-2008 07:40 AM

Im an advid reader of nasioc where the turboxs guys post alot. And there dynapac is pretty well dialed in. There trap speeds match there numbers. My only questions is why are they running emanage and not trying to produce a utec for the HR

Why.... I am only concerned with the gains.. Even at 309 whp the gains are respectable.

This is for my personal car. I don't really have plans to sell any of these parts on my car. Also I have answered the why Emanage and not UTEC questions already. We don't have the connectors yet!

I like the torque numbers especially at 3,000 RPM. Good job.

20whp off tuning fuel alone? thats pretty good, how off were the afr's? what afr did you tune to?

Julian@MRC 04-24-2008 08:34 AM

Hey BlackTOONer, nice yob mang:D..

chinny 04-24-2008 08:40 AM

How exactly to wire in the emanage? I can get one for around $50 almost brand new, was only used for 1 day in my buddies car. From 1-10 how hard is it to install?

Yep, 13.2 afr in the midrange and 12.8 afr at peak power

Have you ever thought the gains might not be same on another dyno. I understand that Dynapack users like them for the tunning ease, but personally I've never liked them.

Another question is what gear did you dyno in? I am assuming 4th since the emanage doesn't override the rev limit or the speed limiter. You probably might have seen a bit more gain in 5th.
