Stillen or Crawford HFC's

Just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with the 2 and what produces more gains, from what i read they are about the same but the crawfords seem bigger than the stillens, not sure if that is what would make a difference in gains so i decided to ask her. Also if anyone has another HFC they recommend I'm up for other opinions. Thanks guys.

Getting HKS hi power exhaust by the end of the week or month depending on a deal i have going on and in the short future getting Headers just in case it makes a difference as to what route im going. Thanks again.

I personally have Crawfords! I have nothing to compare them to.. Would have to do some research! I do know this.... Crawford makes a solid product! They catter to Z's!

I have the HKS Hi power exhuast with Crawford HFC's and Stillen headers and Its Badass after Tune! I'd recommend just biting the bullet and doing the whole system at once! Rather then having togo back in under the car.

TP's will net more WHP then the CATs but I assume you want to remain street legall? Unless you can get hooked up at inspection time.

In my mind Crawford>Stillen.

yea lakeside ive seen your post and i like the numbers, i could care less about street legal unless you honestly think i can get in trouble for them.

thanks 03threefiftyz, even thought i know stillen makes good solid products it seems like crawford is the way to go for hfc's

In that case test-pipes>hfc's. It will really be up to your personal preference.....obviously the tp's will make a bit more power and be more cost efficient, but not legal.

out of curiosity, how and who can you get in touble with and if so what is the penalty???

im assuming it would be by a cop//looking under car// fine//have to prove in court they have been removed?

if im right more or less whats the fine and do cops really even notice that?

I ran straight 3" exhaust w/open dump on my 430whp integra for 2 years with no issue....I have had test-pipes on the Z for 2 years with no issue. Just swap out them for stock cats come emissions time.

NYS inspection is strict. Sniff test etc you name it. My car has been inspected once and they couldn't even pull a rim to inspect due to how low my car is. Even with boards they couldn't get it up on the lifts they had.

TP's won't pass emissions & they will give you a fail. I want TP's bad but not badly enough to have to swap them out and put OEM cats back on for inspection and then togo through all the labor of putting the TP's back on.. Trust me i seriously thought about it but passed on that one. Ughhh

GTM makes nice TP's!

As for HFC's get the Crawfords.

In the NYMA 96 and newer cars no longer do a sniff test. You just plug an OBD2 scanner into the port and if a check engine light is on you fail. If not you pass. Im not sure how other states do it. So if thats your only hold up get tp's like the GTM's or berks and stuff the tube with brillo.

Mine worked fine with my TP's with stock exhaust. Once I build my custom exhaust that went out the window( I'm assuming because of more flow?) So Ill have to do it again.

Test pipes are prone to backfiring, correct? Police see that you're gonna get pulled over, at least here.

None of the mentioned companies make their own emissions equipment. Ask them who's high flow cats they use to construct their pieces, and you should be able to web search them.
