Stillen High flow cats and gen 3 intake hr
 

Ok... I have an 08 with stillen high flow cats, gen 3 intakes and borla true dual. I put these mods on all at once and did not get a CEL for about 4k mi. The CEL came on when the weather changed here in chicago, not sure if that is relavent but...The codes I am getting are p0430 and p0420. I have read many of the threads on the anti fouler trick stuffed with brillo but there are a few points that I am not clear on after reading these threads. I want to get the uprev with a dyno tune. I have been trying to get an appointment with no luck at the local uprev dealer. What I am not clear on is can an uprev tune remedy the cel prob or is the antifouler trick still necessary as well as a tune? Also, if I do this before a tune will the shop be able to accurately tune the car with the o2 sensors being tricked? The only thing that bothers me is since the light came on my gas mileage has gone to ****.

same thing happens to me when weather is very hot, it throws CEL. except i have the motordyne art pipes... i just deal with it since it eventually goes away

With Osiris you can simply turn off those specific codes. You can also buy defoulers as a quick fix. I guess the brillo pad thing is the ghetto equivalent.

I've also read that most of hfcs and tps would trigger CEL after a few thousand miles. Osiris can fix it by deleting the codes forever. However, if you ever fail emission test for some reasons and they couldn't find the error codes you deleted, then you probably won't pass the emission test.

God damn how many times are we going to talk about this same subject. And still so many people dont have a clue what their talking about.

I've read the threads. In those threads it is unclear if Osiris remedied it and what affect if anything the defouler trick would have on tuning. Thanks to those that gave a helpful answer. Not everyone is an expert on the 350z and that is why we post. Sorry if your sick of hearing questions related to the 350z on a 350z forum;)

The osiris/cobb solution turns off the light for those codes, so it will solve the problem. The defouler trick just moves the sensor further out of the exhaust, but the HR ones are so sensitive it doesn't always work. The secondary O2's that cause the codes have no relevance to tuning, so there is no way they affect anything. They are just there for emissions monitoring.

Are you running defoulers at all?

+1. I removed mine and used those bungs for my HKS A/F Knock Amp wide band sensors. No lights with Tomei headers and test pipes ( still using COBB as well ).

So you completely removed the o2 sensors and use the bungs for your wide bands...HOW are you not getting a code??? That makes no sense to me...

He turned off the stock narrow band o2 sensors with his COBB AP, now only uses those bungs for the wide bands.
